The Philadelphia Eagles (7-0) will travel to Houston to meet the Houston Texans (1-5-1), for Thursday Night Football at First Energy Stadium, Houston. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET (Amazon Prime Video). The eagles have been the biggest surprise in the NFC and may be the best team in the NFC now. Houston has been a good defensive player, giving up only 22 points per game. They allowed 17 points the last time they played and will need to put in the same effort this time.

Philadelphia has been very defensive, giving up 16.9 per game. They allowed 13 points last time and need to continue this trend if they are to win.
These teams meet for the first time since Dec. 23, 2018, which was a win for the Eagles in Philadelphia, 32-30. Philly has won all four matchups since Sept. 2006 while also covering each game. The Over has also hit in the series’s previous three games.

The point spread and day of the week make this game a little tricky to pick. It’s a short week for both teams, but the Eagles are the travel team, which is an advantage for the Home team. The Texans play hard, but they will not beat the Eagles. The real question will be, can they cover the 13.5 points? I doubt they can, but a back door cover could kill an Eagles bet in this game. The Eagles will win and I do think they will cover.
