Titans/Chiefs Preview
After a 0-2 start, the Titans now have a 5-game winning streak. The Titans won 17-10 at the Houston Texans on Sunday, without QB Ryan Tannehill, who was suffering from an ankle injury and was ill. Tennessee was a 1-point favorite, the Titans won the game despite QB Malik Willis attempting just ten passes for only 55 yards. RB Derrick Henry won the game with a rushing total of 219 yards and 2 touchdowns on 32 carries. Henry ranks third in the NFL for rushing with 755 yards.
In Week 7, the Chiefs won 44-23 against the San Francisco 49ers. It was their most offensive game of the season. QB Patrick Mahomes found two of his receivers ( JuJuSmith-Schuster, and Marquez Valdes–Scantling). TE Travis Kelce finished with 98 yards receiving.
However, the Chiefs aren’t as adept at covering spreads this season. They went 3-5 ATS. They’ve played AFC rivals well. Each of their four intraconference matches was decided by 4 points or less. This is a stark contrast with their 3 games against NFC rivals this season, in which they won all 3 by 10 or more points.
The Chiefs have won the all-time series by 30-25 over the Titans since 1960, when they were the Dallas Texans.
This matchup has a mixed history. The Chiefs are currently 1-3 against the Titans under Mahomes since 2018. Kansas City won the 2019-20 AFC Championship match. The Chiefs covered that spread but lost three of their remaining games. K.C. has had trouble with Henry. He’s rushed for 499 yards and 4 touchdowns in those four matchups.
The Titans defeated the Chiefs by 27-3 last season as 4-point underdogs.

Kansas City Chiefs Betting Tips
After a win over the San Francisco 49ers 44-23, the Kansas City Chiefs had their bye week. They will now be trying to improve their 5-2 record. Patrick Mahomes has thrown 2,159 yards, 20 touchdowns, 5 interceptions and 66.9% pass completion percentage while Clyde Edwards–Helaire has a record 288 rushing yards with 3 touchdowns. Travis Kelce is the Chiefs leading receiver with 47 grabs, 553 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. JuJu Smith–Schuster also has 494 receiving yard. Marquez Valdes–Scantling has 369 receiving yards, while Skyy Moore and Jerick McKinnon have each 100+ receiving yards this season. Nick Bolton, who has 70 total tackles and a pair of sacks for the team, has Chris Jones with 5 sacks and L’Jarius Sneed with 3.5 sacks. Betting the game
Who will be the Titans Quarterback this weekend? If it’s Ryan Tannehill the Titans and +12.5 is an excellent bet. If it’s rookie Malik Willis it will be a much risker bet. The Chiefs run defense has been excellent this season, except for the game against Las Vegas a few weeks back when Josh Jacobs gashed them for more than seven yards per carry. The lose of defensive lineman Frank Clark is why I would lean towards taking the 12.5 points and bet on the Titans to cover. I think the Chiefs win but 12.5 points is to much for me here.
