Week 8 gets underway with an interconference clash of two teams most people would expect to be better than what we have seen down in the Sunshine State. On Thursday night football, the Baltimore Ravens will be on the road to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Although Baltimore beat Cleveland 23-20 at their home on Sunday, they could not cover the 6.5-point spread. Tampa Bay’s offensive struggles continued as they lost 21-3 to Carolina on Sunday. They were a 13-point favorite. The Ravens hold a 4-2 lead in the regular season series and have won the last four meetings. This includes a 20-12 win at home in their most recent matchup, December 16, 2018.

This seems to be an easy pick. The Ravens running game should dominate this game just like the Panthers did. the Bucs struggle to run, so it will all again fall on Brady’s shoulders. If the Bucs couldn’t stop the Panthers’ running game, how would they stop the Ravens? The Ravens will control the game on the ground, now I do not expect a blow out as the Ravens have not been world beaters this year, but I am taking the Ravens and giving the -1.5.

If you are betting on the Ravens to win and cover, the payoff will be decent, and I think the Ravens will win this game. For example, the odds as of a few days before the game range to -110 if you are betting on the Ravens to cover. If you bet 100 on the Ravens to cover, the payout would be 91 dollars, which means you would get back the 100 you bet and the other 91 for winning the bet. The best bet is betting on the Ravens to win and cover.
