Cowboys/Eagles Preview
Few could have foreseen this game’s high stakes when the season began. For the past half-decade, the NFC East was one of the most unpopular divisions in the league. But now it is home to three teams with at least four wins.
With a win, the Eagles would be in first place, but the Cowboys could propel themselves into a tie for first, where they’d have the head-to-head tiebreaker over Philly. Don’t forget the Giants, who are also at 4-1.
The Eagles have faced some close calls with teams with losing records after a few big wins. They rallied from being down 14 to defeat the Jaguars 29-22 and then beat the Cardinals (20-17) on their road trip last week.

Philadelphia Eagles Betting Tips
The Cowboys’ ability to rush the passer is impressive, but they still have room for improvement when it comes to stopping the run. They are 18th in rushing yards permitted per game (117.6), and 21st in yards attempted per attempt (4.7), however, even these middling numbers have been aided by playing only one team (Giants), which ranks higher than 25th for rushing yards per match.
The Eagles will be Dallas’s most difficult rushing attack this season, with apologies to the Giants. Miles Sanders looks resurgent with 4.8 ypc and Kenneth Gainwell is among the best backups in the league. Jalen Hurts is the real challenge. He is rushing the ball an incredible 13.6 times per match and is tied for second with six touchdowns.
The Cowboys must improve their short-yardage situation. The league’s highest mark is an 86 per cent conversion rate by opponents on third and fourth downs with less than two yards remaining. Dallas needs to improve its 16 per cent stuff rate, which ranks 21st among the NFL. However, it might have an opportunity to improve if Philly isn’t fully healthy.
If the Cowboys can run the ball they have a chance and -6.5 is a lot of points for the Eagles to cover in this one. The Eagles should win but the points are too much in this one.
