Broncos/Chargers Preview

The Russell Wilson and Nathaniel Hackett eras in Denver have had a rough start. Hackett made some baffling decisions in the games, while Wilson looked sloppy and unable to make the crucial plays. To make matters worse, Javonte Williams, stud back, and Randy Gregory (edge rusher) have both been injured.

After suffering a Week 3 beating at the hand of the Jaguars, the Chargers woke up to win their two previous games on the road (@ HOU and @ CLE). Justin Herbert has been a good player all season. However, Austin Ekeler, top RB, needed to rest and Keenan Allen, elite wideout (hamstring), has been missing in L.A.’s four previous games. Joey Bosa, a key Bolts cog, suffered an injury to his groin. This could keep him out of action for more than two months.

Denver Broncos Betting Tips

Wilson has been awful for much of the 2022 season. Coach Nathaniel Hackett went for the record-setting field goal kick against Seattle instead of letting Wilson try a fourth and five that would have improved the Broncos chances to win the game. Hackett’s offensive line has been brutal, and his receivers have dropped ten passes, which is tied for fifth in the NFL. Through five games, the Broncos have had a positive pass defense giving up just 176.6 yards per game. They’re also a bit more efficient on the road. Herbert is having trouble setting up the deep ball without Keenan Allen (hamstring).
