The Colts’ biggest news is that RB Jonathan Taylor has suffered an ankle injury. This stresses an already struggling rushing offense ranked 27th in the league. It also makes it easier for Denver’s 18th-ranked run defense to keep Taylor’s replacements, Deon Jackson and Nyheim Hines, in check.
The Colts’ new veteran QB Matt Ryan continues his absorption of Indy OC Marcus Brady’s offensive game plan (one which takes full advantage of deep-threat WR Michael Pittman Jr.). Watch for that to change, though Denver may use CB Pat Surtain to try to neutralize him.
The Broncos’ two starting running backs, Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon, were both injured, and the Broncos were left with only 85 yards of ground in today’s 32-24 loss to the Raiders.

Jonathan Taylor is questionable, and even if he plays, he has not been dominant like last year as the Colts offensive line has failed to live up to expectations so far this season. The Colts have an excellent run defense and Williams and Gordon are both injured, so they should be able to force the Broncos into scoring through the air. Russell Wilson’s passing game has been inconsistent this season, so it will be interesting to see if the Colts can reduce turnovers and stay in the game.
Wilson has a good showing with Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Stuttonin the Broncos loss to the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday.
Denver’s defense will make the most out of the opposition’s problems, which is my expectation. The Colts have been able to turn the ball over nine more times than any other team in the NFL. While Indianapolis has only four turnovers, they have the talent to make Indianapolis pay.

Experts and fans had high expectations for the Colts and Broncos before the 2022 NFL season. Both teams were predicted to be amongst the AFC’s top teams and could potentially compete for Super Bowl LVII on February 2.
Neither team looks capable of making any noise come playoff time, and injuries may destroy both teams running games. So, do you trust Russell Wilson or Matt Ryan more in betting on this game? That seems to be an easy answer, plus Denver is at home, and the Colts do not have enough weapons for Matt Ryan to throw to.

If you are betting on the Broncos to cover the 3 points, the payoff will be decent, and I think the Broncos will win and cover this game. For example, the odds as of a few days before the game range to -110 if you are betting on the Broncos to cover the points. If you bet 100 on the Broncos to cover, the payout would be 91 dollars, which means you would get back the 100 you bet and the other 91 for winning the bet. To me, the best bet is betting on the Broncos to cover.
