A rivalry in the AFC West will conclude Week 5 of the NFL season as the Kansas City Chiefs face the Las Vegas Raiders. Although Josh McDaniels’ debut was not easy, Las Vegas is not winless. They beat the Broncos by 32 to 23 last week, with Josh Jacobs carrying the ball for 144 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Davante Adams was busy once more with nine receptions totalling 101 yards. While the Denver ground game could not beat them, the defense kept the Broncos under 300 yards of total offense. Although it may not be sustainable for the Raiders, this defensive effort was admirable on one night. Can they do it in back-to-back games? Highly doubtful, especially against the Chiefs.
On paper, this game looks like a mismatch, and I think it is. The Raiders have great skill position players, but the defense is a mess, and the offensive line is not playing well. The Raiders best chance here is another nig game by Josh Jacobs to try to limit the Chiefs opportunities on offense. Take the Chiefs and give the +7.5.
