Chiefs vs Raiders Preview
A rivalry in the AFC West will conclude Week 5 of the
NFL season as the Kansas City Chiefs face the Las Vegas Raiders. The rivalry has not been very competitive in recent seasons, with Kansas City winning 15 of the 18 matches with Las Vegas. Last year, KC defeated its rivals 48-9 at their home in December and 41-14 away in November. The Chiefs have scored at least 30 points in five of their last five games against the Raiders, and they could repeat this feat on Monday. The Raiders have struggled under Josh McDaniels while the Chiefs still look like one of the three best teams in the NFL.
Last Sunday night, the Chiefs put on a great show as they beat Tampa Bay 41 to 31. Patrick Mahomes was 23-of-37 for 249 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Kansas City will be tough to beat if they can run the ball. Clyde Edwards Helaire rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown with 19 carries. The Bucs run game was non-existent against the Chiefs defense. Las Vegas Raiders Betting Tips
Although Josh McDaniels’ debut was not easy, Las Vegas is not winless. They beat the Broncos by 32 to 23 last week, with Josh Jacobs carrying the ball for 144 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Davante Adams was busy once more with nine receptions totalling 101 yards. While the Denver ground game could not beat them, the defense kept the Broncos under 300 yards of total offense. Although it may not be sustainable for the Raiders, this defensive effort was admirable on one night. Can they do it in back-to-back games? Highly doubtful, especially against the Chiefs.
On paper, this game looks like a mismatch, and I think it is. The Raiders have great skill position players, but the defense is a mess, and the offensive line is not playing well. The Raiders best chance here is another nig game by Josh Jacobs to try to limit the Chiefs opportunities on offense. Take the Chiefs and give the +7.5.
