QB Power Rankings

10) Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings

Although it’s a new year, the story remains the same. Kirk Cousins, has been going up and down since the start of his career. Cousins isn’t under constant pressure but has been primarily on point in North Star, where he helped form a Dynamite duo, which has accounted for 42% of Cousins’ total yardage this season, simply put, Justin Jefferson is a beast.

After leading the largest comeback of NFL history with back-to-back 400-yard games, Captain Kirk plans to take on a weak Giants defense that has only intercepted four passes this season.

9) Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

Lawrence, only 23 years old, started the year strong and made significant strides in his second NFL Season. Then he hit a rough part of the season. Lawrence was able to get back on track in the weeks following, as he started trending up again, completing 76.8% (Weeks 9-12) of his passes.

It’s easy to see how the Jaguars QB is learning with each start. His comeback win against Baltimore might be his best performance as a professional. Even though it has taken some time, Lawrence is closer to realizing his potential. Lawrence beat the Cowboys this week with a remarkable 300-yard, four-score performance. Lawrence is on the verge of greatness, but it will be a challenge against the Jets’ secondary playmaking.

8) Jarred Goff, Detroit Lions

Goff has been through his ups and downs as usual, but he’s been on the rise lately. Goff was the former No. 1 overall pick who hasn’t thrown an intercept since Week 9 and has won six of seven of his previous starts. Goff is playing some of the most exciting football of his career and will be taking on an average Panthers defense this week. Check out the best football odds.

7) Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks

Smith, a former second-round selection, is one of the most surprising players in the 2022 NFL season. Smith has never looked like a quality starter until now. Smith is leading the NFL in completion rate, with the Seahawks ranking as a top-10 offense. It’s not a matter of whether he can continue his outstanding play. It’s more about how good the 32-year-old can be.

6) Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers

Herbert is in his third season and leads the NFL with 50+ yard distance completions since 2020. This means that even if the Chargers are backed up, defenders should be afraid to relax because the next one could sail right over you.

We are already impressed by his physical abilities. We want Herbert to make it to the playoffs. Yet, the Chargers have only beaten two teams that are at least.500 in 2022. These were in the past two weeks. We might finally see Herbert this season if his receivers stay healthy. This was evident against Tennessee and Miami. He should be able to dismantle the Colts who haven’t been able to put together anything this season.

5) Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins

Tagovailoa will be able to continue his status as a top-ranked NFL quarterback this season by playing in an offense with two 1,000-yard receivers.

His performance against San Francisco did not help. Tagovailoa had a season-low of 54.6% and three turnovers. In his worst start to the season, Tagovailoa made another poor performance against Los Angeles. He completed a career-low 35.7% of passes. The native of Hawaii managed to play back to his usual level but still failed to complete passes in the snow at the end of the game. The results against the top-five Green Bay passes D in Week 16 are likely to be better. Tua played well enough to lead the Dolphins to the victory in Buffalo, the issue had more to do with a poor Bills defense.

4) Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

Leading the way for several weeks, Allen has slipped in our NFL QB rankings as of late, thanks to a recent string of red zone interceptions. At his best, there may not be a better-combined runner/passer in football. While his decision-making at times could improve, the Buffalo QB still has an elite skill set.

Next is a matchup against the Bears, who allow the third-most points per game. We expect Allen to put forth a dominant effort.

3) Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

Mahomes is pure magic He is on pace to break the NFL single-season passing yards record. The only issue is the fact that the Chiefs have only beaten two teams with winning records, and they have lost to both the Bengals and the Bills this season.

Mahomes completed an astonishing 87.8% in the Chiefs’ overtime win against the Texans.  Next week, Mahomes will once again be posting videogame numbers against a low-level Seahawks defense. Check out the top football betting sites for betting on the NFL.

2) Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

Burrow’s offensive line has been inconsistent, and he also had to cope without Ja’Marr Chase, his top receiver, for four consecutive weeks. Joe Cool is a great player, scoring 35 points or more in each of his wins without Chase.

Week 13 saw Burrow defeat Mahomes and the Chiefs for the third consecutive time in his professional career. He also remained undefeated against Andy Reid’s team. In a mixed performance, he beat the Browns again. Next was a matchup with Tom Brady. Brady had a top-10 pass defense, but Burrpw kept rolling and threw four touchdowns in a fantastic comeback from being down 17 points. Will he be able to keep up the white heat against Bill Belichick?

1) Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

Hurts transformed from a quarterback who had to prove himself capable of keeping the job to a Pro Bowl player in his second full season. The Eagles selected Hurts in the second round in 2020. But no one expected him to be the top-ranked quarterback in the NFL.

Hurts’ 2022 season is similar to Jackson’s MVP year, except that Hurts will not have nearly as many passing touchdowns as Jackson, but he will still finish with more passing yards than Jackson. The Eagles are poised for a first-round bye in the playoffs. Hurts, is considered a legitimate MVP candidate, will continue possibly miss the Cowboys game because of a shoulder injury.
