49ers vs Seahawks Preview
It’s a divisional matchup on Thursday night, as the San Francisco 49ers (9-4), 8-5 ATS and 6-7 O/U), collided with the Seattle Seahawks (7-6), 6-7 ATS and 8-5 O/U). Jimmy Garoppolo will not return in the regular season, and there were questions about how the 49ers would fare without their top quarterback. Brock Purdy has blown away everyone with his play in his first two starts. The rookie quarterback, at 22 years old was able to pass for 210 yards against Miami, and he also managed 185 yards with a 76% completion rate against the Bucs. Purdy has 461 passing yards with a 4:2 ratio of TD to INT for the season. Purdy is currently recovering from an oblique injury, but he is expected to continue playing.
Christian McCaffery’s best game of the season was last week. He rushed for 119 yards. Although the 26-year-old has been inconsistent since his Carolina trade, he now has 819 rushing yards for the season. Brandon Aiyuk made at least five receptions in each of his three previous performances. Deebo Samuel now has 612 yards, and Brandon Aiyuk has 755 receiving yards. Samuel is currently questionable due to an ankle injury. The offense in San Francisco is firing, scoring more than 30 points in its last three games.
The 49ers’ defense continues to be a top-notch unit in the NFL. Six straight games have seen them hold their opponent to 17 points or less. They held Brady to 253 passing yards last week, and their rush defense maintained its dominance. They are now 12th in the league for passing defense and 1st in rush defence. San Francisco’s average score is 24.4 points per game, which ranks them eighth. They limit their opponents to 15.2 points, which is the best in the NFL.

Seattle Seahawks Betting Tips

The 22-year-old has 649 rushing yards. Travis Homer will carry most of the carries if he is not available. Tyler Lockett received 128 yards against the Rams, followed by 60 yards last week. DK Metcalf, the star WR, is second with 896 yards.
Recent struggles have been experienced by the Seahawks’ defense. Three weeks ago, they surrendered 40 to the Raiders. They also failed to respond to the run against Carolina. The Seahawks allowed 223 rushing yards and 328 total yards. Although the pass defense has improved to 18th, the rush defense is 31st. Seattle has a season average of 26.3 points, which is sixth in the league. They concede an average of 25.7 points per game, which puts them in 30th place in the NFL.
The difference in this game will be the Seahawks inability to stop the run, and if Brock Purdy plays well again, this could be a blowout. I think the Seahawks will be able to score some points but not enough to win this game. Take the 49ers and give the -3.5.
