Giants/Commanders Preview
Looking back at the start of the season, most would not have expected either of these teams to have a real shot at the playoffs. Here you go, as this is not one of the biggest games of the week, with all kinds of playoff hopes riding on this one.
Through the first half of the season, the Giants were a surprise. Head Coach Brian Daboll has changed the culture in New York, and the Giants seemed to grit out every close game early in the season.
The Giants have been unable to find enough playmakers on offense or overall talent over the last month, and they are now back to square one. New York lost or tied their last four games after appearing sure of a Wild Card spot in the NFC. Now it is not such a sure thing, and the Giants must win this game, or the playoff hopes start to sink.
While they have encountered some excellent offenses during that period, Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley have not been able to match them. This has led to the Giants being in last place in NFC East with an ugly 7-5-1 record.
Can the Giants find offense outside of Barkley? If they can, the playoffs are a definite possibility. If they can’t, they will lose the rest of their games. The great thing is that either way, the Giants are headed in the right direction, and the future looks bright in New York.
Barkley’s health may decide the outcome of this game before it begins. Barkley, the star RB, was limited in his play last week against the Eagles. He carried the ball only nine times for 28 yards. Barkley must be fully fit and give an outstanding performance for New York to win this game.
It shouldn’t be all on a running back’s shoulders. However, due to the Giants’ lack of playmakers at WR, he is the key to this divisional matchup.

Washington Commanders Betting Tips
Washington is coming off their bye week, and they will immediately rematch the Giants they tied just two weeks ago. Washington, despite QB turmoil and injuries throughout the roster this season is still slated to be in the NFL playoffs. With a win over their division rival in Week 15, they can make it even more real.
Taylor Heinicke did just enough to save Washington’s season. The Commanders have won or tied in seven of the last eight games. Washington’s success has been determined by Heinicke’s ability to throw a big play late in the game, or to pass the ball to one of his receivers for a big reception. In short, he has made big plays in big situations since taking over for Carson Wentz.
Their run game is the key to this Commander’s/Giants matchup. The Commanders’ RB duo of Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson must be sharp to take pressure off Heinicke this week and keep the clock under control.
This should be possible against a defense that allows the fourth most rushing yards per game this season. Washington should be able to achieve that goal and move up to 8-5-1 for the season.
