Rams vs Packers Preview

The Los Angeles Rams will leave SoFi Stadium’s climate-controlled environment to head to Green Bay, Wisconsin, for Monday night’s match against the Packers. Baker Mayfield, the quarterback of the injury-stricken Rams, will lead the charge. Mayfield put on an outstanding performance to lead the Rams to a win last Thursday night. Green Bay has a chance of making the playoffs, with a record of 5-8, but not much of a chance is coming off a bye week. Aaron Rodgers will start at quarterback, despite injuring his ribs during the Eagles’ loss two weeks prior.

Los Angeles Rams Betting Tips

Baker Mayfield has been through a rough couple of seasons since it seemed that the former #1 pick would be ready to become one of the most beloved players in the NFL. He struggled in the Browns’ offense last season, and the team didn’t make the playoffs. Mayfield was then shipped to the Panthers by the Browns, who decided to replace him as quarterback. Mayfield was unable to get a hold of the starting job with the Panthers and was released in week 13. The Rams picked up Mayfield as a waiver pick up just days before the game. Mayfield took the field and led them to a 17-16 win over the Raiders. Mayfield was 22-of 35 for 230 yards. He also engineered two fourth-quarter touchdown drives. The last culminated in a 23-yard touchdown pass to Van Jefferson with only 10 seconds remaining in the game.

Baker Mayfield and the Rams will be looking for an encore in the cold conditions of Green Bay. Mayfield is still learning the Rams offense after another week, but he faces the daunting task of trying to do it without the best players on the team. Cooper Kupp, and Allen Robinson II,  are still on injured reserve. The Rams defense will likely again be without star DT Aaron Donald and linebackers Terrell Lewis & Travin Howard. The Rams are also uncertain about CB David Long Jr.
