Since Jackson’s impressive start under new coordinator Todd Monken, things have started to moderate since November, coinciding with Mark Andrews being injured and needing time off due to illness. Andrews could prove invaluable as we transition into colder weeks.
Goff has demonstrated in Detroit a unique trait: immediately following major miscues, he doesn’t give in; rather he rallies himself back up quickly with pinpoint accuracy that helped his Lions survive an opposing Saints comeback attempt in Week 13. Can Goff get defensive support now?
Over the last month, few QBs have shown more improvement than this youngster. Basic throws initially proved challenging early in 2023, but now his basic throws have come together while receiving creative help from Matt LaFleur and the young wideouts. Could there be a playoff push ahead of us?
Stroud has been fantastic this season and has a chance to become the first rookie since 1950 to lead all NFL quarterbacks in passing yards. This feat speaks to his command in Houston’s pocket and his dominance as the reason his club remains in playoff contention.
As part of Buffalo’s 6-6 start, risky throws have played an integral part in his team’s struggles – only Sam Howell has more picks – though not nearly enough is being made of this outstanding performance in helping Buffalo offset its porous defense. But in terms of impactful playmaking ability alone, nobody comes close. If Allen could just eliminate the stupid throws!
Are we finally at a point where it can be concluded that Patrick Mahomes simply is not capable of leading his current supporting cast to a Super Bowl? While that might be too early a conclusion to reach, his makeshift receiving corps has more drops than any other receiving corps in the NFL and if that doesn’t change, Mahomes will be watching the Super bowl.
Eagles fans must hope Hurts can become more efficient if they are to return to the Super Bowl, yet after their heartbreaking loss against San Francisco he remains one of the NFL’s clutch quarterbacks – his unmistakable crunch-time running and seven comeback victories, including three fourth-quarter deliveries, all contribute towards him being named this year’s most clutch passer.
Tagovailoa can open his arms up until Tyreek Hill approaches 200 yards passing; the question is, can he do it against the best teams in the NFL? So far the answer has been no but his play as of late has been hard to ignore.. Playoff tests await him, but in the meantime, Tagovailoa’s been an entertaining watch when given time to throw. Only Purdy averages more yards per throw.
Prescott is finally getting the MVP consideration he deserves after weeks of dissecting inferior teams with ease, feeding CeeDee Lamb while rediscovering his early mobility to make Dallas an extremely dangerous wild card contender, not to mention NFC East and No. 1-seed contender.
Kyle Shanahan’s designs and weapons make his job easier. Still, something has to be said for Purdy’s unwavering attitude in facing any challenge, as evidenced by his shrugging off early pressure from Philly in Week 13 to shred them on the road. With such an efficient passer like Purdy under his command – at only 23 years old, barely halfway through Year 2! – many take his confidence for granted.
