Week 13 started to show us who the true Super Bowl contenders are. In the AFC, it became clear that it would be either the Bengals, Bills, or Chiefs in the Super Bowl. In the NFC, it seems like the Eagles or Cowboys will be the NFC representative. Check out the top football betting strategies for betting on the NFL.
The Ravens, once again, are being bitten by the injury bug. No matter who the quarterback is, the lack of a true number-one receiver will be this team’s downfall.
With the injury to Jimmy G., the Seahawks have a legit shot at winning the NFC West, and Geno Smith continues to surprise people with his play behind center. In the end, this team has overachieved, maybe more than any team this season, but a quick playoff exit is in their future.
The quarterback position is why the Dolphins will not make it out of the Divisional playoffs. Tua is a solid quarterback but with a leaky secondary, the Dolphins will have to score 40 to beat the Bengals, Chiefs, or Bills.
The Vikings may be the worst 10-2 team I have seen. They do continue to find ways to win games, but no way do they make a deep run in the playoffs.
The 49ers seem cursed by injuries over the last few years, and now, they will have to win with Brock Purdy at Quarterback. The 49ers have the best defense in the NFL and a strong running game. I still expect them to make the playoffs, but Brock Purdy will not get it done in the playoffs for the 49ers.
The Kryptonite for Patrick Mahomes seems to be the Cincinnati Bengals. The Chiefs are much better on defense this season, and they run the ball better than last year, but the receivers are not up to what they were last year. Check out the top football odds.
The Bills are a complete football team, but as of late, they have not played as well as expected. They barely escaped Detroit on Thanksgiving; they did dominate the Patriots this past Thursday but have not yet hit their stride.
The Cowboys exploded in the fourth quarter on Sunday night against the Indianapolis Colts. Odell Beckham will probably sign this week, but is that a good thing? Beckham signing could be the worst thing the Cowboys could do, as they look like they already have what they need to make a serious Super Bowl run.
It would be hard to rate the Bengals over the one-loss Eagles, but I was close to doing it as they beat the Chiefs for the third straight time in a calendar year. The Bengals are rolling, and running back Samaje Perine has played better than almost any Bengals fan could have hoped replacing the injured Joe Mixon.
As weird as it seems, the only thing that might stand between the Eagles and the Super Bowl could be the Dallas Cowboys. Jalen Hurts now the leading candidate for NFL MVP, and the defense shut down Derrick Henry.
