Packers/Eagles Preview
On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers will travel to Philadelphia to face the high-flying Eagles. The Packers are in unfamiliar territory as they enter this game with a losing record. They are also well out of contention for the NFC North division. Before being defeated at home by the Washington Commanders two weeks ago, the Eagles were the NFL’s last undefeated team. The Eagles almost lost two consecutive games before winning a 17-16 victory over the Colts. The opening kick will be at 8:20 EST.
The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers aren’t used to this situation after Thanksgiving. With a record of 4-7, the team is now out of the playoff picture and far behind the NFC North-leading Minnesota Vikings. The Packers have a chance to win some respect by beating the Philadelphia Eagles. They will need to play their best game of the season to do this. One week after the Packers beat the Dallas Cowboys in overtime, the Titans defeated them at home 27-17. Rodgers was 24-of-39 for 228 yards and two scores, but they were stopped in the fourth quarter when Rodgers needed to make a play.
After losing Davante Adams, an all-pro wide receiver, in an offseason deal, the Packers knew they had a lot of work ahead of them. However, they didn’t expect that the transition would be so difficult. Green Bay ranks 26th in the NFL for scoring defense. Despite the presence of future Hall-of-Famer Rodgers, they are only 14th in running the ball and 19th passing it. Uncharacteristically, the Packers rank 27th in the NFL in turnover differential and 20th for penalties. In a season where they have had to, the Packers defense has not been as strong. This season, they rank 16th in defense scoring. They are ranked 25th in run defense, which could pose a problem against an offense like the Eagles. They rank 4th in the NFL for their effectiveness against the pass.
Key Injuries: Rodgers (thumb) publicly admitted that he has a broken thumb and is currently playing. LB De’Vondre Campbell (knee), as well as several Packers players, are still out. TE Robert Tonyan is also reported to be suffering from the flu.

Philadelphia Eagles Betting Tips

They are also the sixth-best scoring defense. The Eagles are ranked 19th for running and 2nd for passing. Philadelphia ranks 13th in the NFL for penalties per game.
