As week 10 of the NFL season begins, it’s a battle between teams from the NFC South. The primetime match will be held in the Tar Heel State. The Atlanta Falcons are on the road to take on the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football. Atlanta lost 20-17 to the Chargers at home in their previous game and was a 2.5-point underdog on that Sunday afternoon. Carolina lost 42-21 to Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon. DJ Moore is the leader in the passing game with 35 grabs, 449 yards, and three touchdowns. McCaffrey had 33 receptions for 277 yard plus a score. Robby Anderson (13 grabs, 206 yards, touchdown) and Terrace Marshall (13 grabs), are the only other players to have more than 200 receiving yards. Eddy Piniero is 15-16 on extra points, and 14-16 on field goal attempts with an average of 54 yards.
Carolina’s injury list was extensive from Monday’s practice walkthrough. Keep an eye out for updates over the next few days to see who might be missing the game. Laviska Shenault Jr., Rashard Higgins (illness), safety Juston Birris (concussion), and defensive tackle Matt Ioannidis(back) were all absent from practice. Each of the following was limited Monday: Chuba Hubbard, running back (ankle), Frankie Luvu, defensive tackle Derrick Brown (illness), and Brian Burns (shoulder).
