As we head into the home stretch of the 2022 NFL season, the contenders are separating themselves from the pretenders, and injuries are taking their toll on teams. Today we will look at where the teams stand at the top of the NFL. Check out the top football betting strategies as we head into week 12 of the 2022 season.
The Titans’ passing game has been much better the last two weeks, but they still rank 31st overall in passing offense. Derrick Henry can only do so much by himself.
The Ravens have a glaring weakness on offense and that’s the inability to stretch the field. Defenses are going to load the box until the Ravens can make them pay, and the ravens don’t have the players to make them pay.
The Ravens may win the division on the strength of an easy schedule, but who would you rather face in the playoffs, the Bengals or the Ravens? Then Bengals seem to have the run game going, and if they do, this team will be very dangerous for the rest of the season.
The Vikings pass defense is porous at best as they have allowed opposing quarterbacks to complete almost 70 percent of passes to be complete. The Vikings seem to always be on the edge of losing, which does not bode well for a long playoff run.
The Dolphins have made the right moves to shore up the pass rush and the run game. Can they do the same with the special teams? Special teams are a bad spot for a team that seems to have everything else; if they fix it, they have a shot at winning the division, if they don’t, they will be a wild card.
The Cowboys are a dangerous team come playoff time if they can somehow figure out how to stop the run. If this defense wants to be elite, the rest of the season will give them a chance as they still have to face Saquon Barkley, Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry, Travis Etienne Jr., Miles Sanders and Dameon Pierce. If they can get the run defense straightened out, the Cowboys will become not just a Super Bowl contender but a Super Bowl favorite, but that’s a big if. Check out our top football betting strategies.
The Eagles are a top 5 offense and defense; the issue for the eagles has been the special teams which have been a mess. That special team’s mess is bound to cost the Eagles at least one game before the season ends. I am sorry, but Jalen Hurts still worries me at Quarterback, and the Eagles have not played a demanding schedule.
The Bills have the third most turnovers in the league, and if that continues, they are headed for another playoff loss. Josh Allen has not been his usual self over the last month, and the Bills’ record in close games over the last few years has to be concerning.
I know they are just 6-4, but with the addition of Christian McCaffery, the 49ers have explosive weapons on offense and one of the best defenses in the NFL. If Jimmy G. plays well, the sky is the limit with this team. They are a solid, well-rounded team, and if they can avoid injuries, they will make a serious run at a Super bowl.
These are not the Chiefs of a couple of years ago, but they still have Patrick Mahomes and are consistently a good football team. The loss in Indy looks like an anomaly right now. The Chiefs aren’t blowing people out, but Patrick Mahomes is a tough out in a close game.
