Steelers/Ravens Preview
Pittsburgh Steelers are still fighting for a playoff spot and will travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens in an AFC North classic matchup. Steelers are currently at 7-8. They are trying not only to earn a playoff spot but also to maintain head coach Mike Tomlin’s winning streak without having a losing season. Baltimore is currently at 10-5, as they struggle without their star quarterback Lamar Jackson. With two weeks remaining, they are one game behind Cincinnati in the AFC North lead but have secured a playoff spot. The opening kick will take place at 8:20 EST.
While Mike Tomlin, Pittsburgh’s head coach, is not worried about his personal streak of never losing a season, he would be happy to see that streak continue if it earned his team another playoff berth. The Steelers pulled off a victory over the Raiders last week, even though Pittsburgh was still mourning Franco Harris’s passing. The score was 10-3 at halftime, and it held until the end of the fourth quarter when the Steelers moved in. Quarterback Kenny Pickett was 26-of-39 for 244 yards, with an interception and a touchdown. With less than a minute left, the Steelers took their first lead with a touchdown. It was a 14-yard pass to rookie receiver George Pickens. The Steelers’ night ended with a fitting finale that saw the retirement of Harris’ iconic #32.
Pittsburgh has suffered many injuries this season, including those to their running back and quarterback. This is why they are only 29th in the NFL for scoring offense. They rank 18th in rushing offense, and 24th in passing offense. Pickett’s return and the continued development with rookie wideout Pickens have significantly improved the passing game. The Steelers rank 13th this season in scoring defense. They rank sixth in run defense, allowing less than 100 yards each game the last three seasons. Steelers rank 23rd in NFL pass defense but have allowed an average of just 141 yards per game over their last three games.

Baltimore Ravens Betting Tips

Betting the game
The Ravens, without Jackson, are more one-dimensional and heavily rely on their ground attack. Baltimore is facing a Steelers team who has become more stingy against the run. Over the last three games, Pittsburgh has allowed less than 100 yards per game on the ground. Huntley will likely have to defeat them via the air. When the Ravens throw, they turn to TE Marc Andrews.
