The Bengals lost to the Arizona Cardinals in their opening preseason game. QB Jake Browning was the focus of attention. He was there to help injured Brandon Allen, who had suffered a concussion in the first quarter and had to be taken off the field. Browning had 190 yards passing but did not have a touchdown pass. He fumbled the ball three times. On the other hand, Drew Plitt was 6/6 for 76 yards with a touchdown.
With 89 yards and 74 yards, respectively, Trent Taylor and Kendrick Taylor were the primary targets. They did a great job. The defense could not stop the Cardinals, allowing them to rush 112 yards on the ground. The only thing that would be worrisome for Bengals fans would be that the offensive line was bad, the bright side would be that the starters did not play. The concern after watching the second group of offensive linemen would be the Bengals lack of depth along that line.
