Dallas was a huge disappointment in the regular season finale against Washington. The Cowboys finished as a wild-card team with a 12-5 record and were the fifth seed in NFC. Dallas’ performance against Washington was not impressive. They trailed 13-0 in the second quarter and scored only six seconds left in the half to make the score 13-6. The Washington defense dominated the second half, and the Cowboys failed to score. Dallas was defeated in every category. They were outgained by 309-182 total offense and picked up ten first downs. They also lost the time of possession 36:12 to 23.48. Dallas also turned the ball over twice, with a pick-6, and forced only one takeaway.
The Cowboys are 14th in league passing offense, averaging 219.8 yards per game. With 135.2 yards per match, Dallas is 9th best in rushing offense. Ryan Succop connected on 24 of the 25 extra points and 31 out of 38 field goal attempts with a long of 54 yards this season.
At this time, Tampa Bay’s injury list is very short. On Friday, guard Nick Leverett (knee/shoulder) was the only player who did not practice. While everyone was full, Vita Vea (defensive tackle) and Kyle Rudolph (tight end) were both limited.
