Matthew Stafford was not feeling well this offseason, and the Los Angeles Rams had difficulty keeping him healthy. Although there were reports that he had elbow problems, we now know that the Rams are pleased with what he has done. The Rams are looking to become a dynasty in the NFL, and another Super Bowl win will put them on the cusp of that.
According to PFT, McVay and Donald had the following to say:
โI thought he had great energy, great command all day,โ McVay told reporters. โI thought he threw the ball incredibly accurately in all parts of the field, really activated all parts of our pass game. There was a couple where heโs hitting the spots we want and we just have to be able to finish some of those plays. Iโm encouraged because we can coach off of those and we are getting those opportunities to feel what itโs like for him to be able to throw with Allen [Robinson].ย Ben Skowronekย made a handful of plays, also TuTu [Atwell]. Heโs got a comfort level with [Tyler] Higbee and with Cooper [Kupp]. But some of these newer guys, today was a great step in the right direction to be able to start establishing that rapport that will be critical for this year.โ
โHeโs doing good, throwing some good passes, great passes,โ Donald told reporters. โObviously accurate, good balls, obviously. Iโm trying my best to get after him and stay away, not get too close. But he looked good out there.โ
This team may win another Super Bowl if Matthew Stafford is healthy this year. He was an integral part of their incredible season last year. He could win the MVP award this year if he is healthy.
