Amon Ra St. Brown burst onto the scene towards the end of last season. He was one of few bright spots for the poor Lions. After his outstanding performance last year, St. Brown deserves more attention this season. He finished last year with 912 yards, 90 receiving and five touchdowns despite having limited time. He is expected to reach 1,000 yards for the first time in his career and be a solid fantasy player.
After missing most of last season’s games, the Rams running back is eager for a rebound season. Akers will be an additional dimension to the already formidable Rams team, which won the Super Bowl last year. Matthew Stafford will be relieved of some of the pressure, and Akers will keep defenses guessing, allowing Los Angeles to continue its great offense. Fantasy owners who have Akers should take advantage of the talent and potential.
Tony Pollard should be getting more reps with the Dallas Cowboys, as Ezekial Elliot is getting older. Despite Dallas’ ageing offensive line, they can still lead a top-rushing attack. The Cowboys offer Elliot a solid insurance policy, with Tony Pollard entering his prime. He had a great year last year with his first 1,000-yard season in his young career. Pollard is a great choice for fantasy owners who need a backup quarterback, especially if Elliot is already on the team.
Gabriel Davis was a star in the divisional playoff game last season. Although Stefon Diggs is clearly the number one option for Josh Allen’s Bills offense, Davis has established himself as a reliable backup after serving as the third wide receiver on Buffalo’s depth chart. Davis caught four touchdowns for 201 yards in the divisional match against Kansas City. This was Davis’ breakout performance, which made him both a keystone of Buffalo’s future and someone fantasy owners should be keeping an eye on this season.
Pittman Jr. managed to record his first 1,000-yard season last year. He should be able to repeat this feat with Matt Ryan, an experienced quarterback, as he is still the Indianapolis’ only consistent receiver threat. Pittman is only entering his third season. He should be at the peak of his career. Fantasy owners should use this opportunity to draft Pittman if their top-tier wide receivers have been drafted.
