The Roughriders looked like a potential Grey Cup champion when they reached a 5-1 mark and then finished the season with a 4-1 record. Saskatchewan could not make it into the title game as they lost 21-17 to the eventual champion Blue Bombers in West Division Final.
Many of these same players will be able to make up for the disappointments this season as Cody Fajardo, quarterback, leads a solid group that also includes WR Shaq Evans and SB Duke Williams.

Dane Evans, who spent a lot of time at the centre during the past three seasons, is now in charge in Hamilton as he replaced Jeremiah Massoli as the Ti-Cats signal-caller.
This match should be one of the most interesting of Week 1 clashes. The spread favours the home team, unsurprisingly. Both teams have plenty of play on both sides and strong defences. Defences are usually stronger than offences at the start of the season so take the under! The best bet is to go under for a total in the mid-40s. I would lean towards the Roughriders winning the game but to many question marks for me in this one. I feel comfortable betting the under.
