The Eagles’ offense is led by the red-hot Saquon Barkley, who has been running over defenses, especially in the cold weather. Barkley will again be the focal point of Philadelphia’s offense as they aim for a trip to the Super Bowl. The Commanders cannot go into this game expecting to shut him down completely; instead, their goal should be to contain him, preventing long, backbreaking runs and limiting his effectiveness in the passing game.
Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ passing attack has been somewhat limited during the playoffs, largely due to increased pressure and tight coverage on their wide receivers. As a result, Philadelphia has relied heavily on the running abilities of Barkley and Hurts. For the Commanders, the key to success will be keeping wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith relatively quiet, which may allow them to capitalize on the Eagles’ tendency to be one-dimensional. Commanders’ offense vs. Eagles’ defense
Jayden Daniels has emerged as the standout quarterback in the playoffs. The rookie excels at choosing the right moments to run, but he is most effective when spreading the ball aroundâwhether it’s throwing deep or setting up receivers for significant gains after the catch.
