ACC: Florida State Seminoles

Not too long ago, Florida State was considered a contender for the national championship. This season the Noles have the talent and coaching to make it a special every year.

Jimbo Fisher restored the glory, but the program could not recover after Fisher left as the Noles had to endure bad head coach after bad coach in a short period. That has all changed with the arrival of new head coach Mike Norvell.

Between 2010 and 2016, the Noles won 78 games, three ACC Championships and a national championship. They’ve been a miserable 26-33 since then.

From 1987 to 2000, Florida State lost 19 games.

Although Mike Norvell, head coach, is planning to return the Noles to superpower territory, after many years of painful offensive line play, it might be possible for the Noles to have a decent front 5. It’s at least full of veteran players. The Ground attack andPassing game should work well together, and the defense is loaded with experience. The starting 11 should be outstanding if the secondary can rise up?

LSU is a concern in Week 2 in New Orleans. Road games against NC State, Miami, and Florida are frightening. But Clemson has to come to Tallahassee, and Florida will also be a tough home game as well.

This will be the turning point for a proud program that has not had a winning season in its last four years. The Noles are not a threat to win it all just yet, but look for a winning season at Florida State this season and don’t be surprised if the Noles aren’t right back in the National Championship hunt a few years from now.
