One of the Big Ten’s biggest games of the weekend takes place Saturday afternoon when the Oregon Ducks visit No. 11 Ohio State at Ohio Stadium.
Ohio State enters 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the Big Ten after suffering a 30-18 loss at USC. Oregon improved to 5-3 and 3-2 in conference play by rallying past No. 20 Northwestern 34-26.
Ohio State is a seven-point favorite, with the total set at 48.5.
Matchup: Oregon Ducks at No. 11 Ohio State Buckeyes Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026 Kickoff: 3:30 PM ET TV: CBS Venue: Ohio Stadium — Columbus, Ohio Tickets: As low as $162 Point Spread: Ohio State -7 Over/Under: 48.5
Ohio State leads the all-time series 10-2 and owns a 5-1 home record against Oregon. The Buckeyes have also won 12 consecutive games at Ohio Stadium.
The Ohio State -7 spread means the Buckeyes must win by eight points or more to cover. A seven-point Ohio State victory results in a push. Oregon +7 covers if the Ducks win outright or lose by six points or fewer.
Ohio State’s offense moved the football against USC but repeatedly failed to finish drives.
The Buckeyes produced 464 total yards, including nearly 200 on the ground, but scored only one touchdown in the 30-18 loss. Freshman quarterback Luke Fahey, making his first career start, completed 21 of 38 passes for 260 yards and one touchdown.
Fahey started after Julian Sayin suffered an injury against Indiana. Sayin has been outstanding when available, throwing for 2,007 yards, 19 touchdowns and four interceptions while completing 68.2 percent of his passes.
The quarterback situation will therefore be one of the biggest storylines entering Saturday.
Regardless of who starts, Jeremiah Smith remains Ohio State’s premier weapon. Smith has 984 receiving yards this season and caught 10 passes for 83 yards and a touchdown against USC. His touchdown was the 40th of his career, setting a Big Ten record.
Ohio State also needs to continue leaning on Bo Jackson and its running game.
The Buckeyes average 159.5 rushing yards per game, while their defense allows only 273.5 total yards and 15.5 points per contest.
Oregon enters Columbus with renewed confidence after its comeback against Northwestern.
Quarterback Dylan Raiola delivered his best performance of the season, completing 22 of 31 passes for 336 yards and three touchdowns without an interception.
The biggest beneficiary was Dakorien Moore, who caught seven passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns, including a 75-yard fourth-quarter score that helped put the game away.
Oregon averages 425.4 total yards and 33.3 points per game, while its defense allows only 21.4 points. Opponents have managed just 208 passing yards per game.
The Ducks have also protected the football extremely well through the air, throwing only three interceptions all season.
The concern is Oregon’s rushing depth. Injuries forced freshman Brandon Smith into an expanded role against Northwestern, and he responded with 82 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.
College player-prop availability varies by sportsbook and jurisdiction, so these are target numbers to consider if offered near these ranges.
Smith remains Ohio State’s most dependable offensive weapon.
Whether Sayin returns or Fahey starts again, expect the Buckeyes to make Smith a major part of the game plan.
Prediction: Jeremiah Smith — 106 receiving yards
Raiola is coming off a 336-yard performance and should have significant passing volume against Ohio State.
The Buckeyes allow only 177.8 passing yards per game, but Oregon may have to throw aggressively in the second half.
Prediction: Dylan Raiola — 237 passing yards
Moore’s explosiveness gives Oregon its best chance to challenge Ohio State’s secondary.
His connection with Raiola was excellent against Northwestern.
Prediction: Dakorien Moore — 79 receiving yards
Ohio State ran the ball effectively at USC despite losing.
Expect the Buckeyes to emphasize the ground game again, particularly if the quarterback situation remains unsettled.
Prediction: Bo Jackson — 82 rushing yards
Jeremiah Smith — Ohio State: Smith can completely change the game with one explosive reception and should see heavy target volume.
Bo Jackson — Ohio State: Establishing Jackson would take pressure off whichever quarterback starts.
Dylan Raiola — Oregon: Raiola’s 336-yard, three-touchdown performance against Northwestern makes him the key to Oregon’s upset chances.
Dakorien Moore — Oregon: Moore gives the Ducks a legitimate vertical threat capable of testing Ohio State’s outstanding secondary.
Ohio State must finish drives. The Buckeyes gained 464 yards against USC but settled for four field goals and struggled in the red zone.
Oregon needs to protect Raiola against an Ohio State defense that recorded nine tackles for loss against USC.
The Ducks must also avoid allowing Smith to dominate one-on-one matchups.
For Ohio State, establishing the running game could be critical. A productive ground attack would control possession and prevent Oregon’s explosive passing offense from finding rhythm.
The Ohio State -7 spread requires the Buckeyes to win by at least eight points to cover. An Ohio State victory by exactly seven produces a push.
The Buckeyes are coming off a disappointing loss, but returning to Ohio Stadium matters. Ohio State is 4-0 at home this season and has won 12 consecutive home games.
Oregon is dangerous, especially after Raiola’s breakout performance, but Ohio State owns the stronger defense.
The 48.5 total looks slightly high. Ohio State allows only 15.5 points per game, and its quarterback uncertainty could encourage a conservative offensive approach.
Oregon creates several explosive plays through Raiola and Moore, but Ohio State’s defense limits the Ducks in the red zone.
Smith produces another strong performance, Jackson controls the second half and the Buckeyes respond from the USC loss with an important home victory.
