Louisville enters 5-3 overall and 4-2 in ACC play after an explosive 52-24 victory over Stanford. Georgia Tech is 2-6 and 1-4 in the ACC following a 34-11 loss at Pittsburgh. The Yellow Jackets have dropped three straight, while Louisville has scored at least 34 points in each game of its current winning streak.
Matchup: Louisville Cardinals at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026 Kickoff: 7:30 PM ET TV: ACC Network Venue: Bobby Dodd Stadium — Atlanta, Georgia Tickets: As low as $15 Point Spread: Louisville -14.5 Over/Under: 60.5
Louisville and Georgia Tech have split their four previous meetings. Louisville won the last two, including a 31-19 victory in 2024, but Georgia Tech won the only previous meeting at Bobby Dodd Stadium, 46-27 in 2020.
The Louisville -14.5 spread means the Cardinals must win by 15 points or more to cover. If Louisville wins by exactly 14, Georgia Tech +14.5 covers. Because of the half-point, there is no possibility of a push.
Louisville’s offense enters Atlanta playing its best football of the season.
The Cardinals produced 545 total yards, including 296 rushing, against Stanford. They averaged nine yards per carry and scored 28 unanswered points after the game was tied 24-24 early in the third quarter.
Quarterback Lincoln Kienholz completed 20 of 28 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for another 62 yards and a score. For the season, he has completed 67.8 percent of his passes for 2,094 yards, 12 touchdowns and only three interceptions.
Running back Isaac Brown was spectacular against Stanford, rushing for 139 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries while adding a receiving touchdown. His four total touchdowns were the most by a Louisville player in a game since Lamar Jackson in 2016.
Then there is Tre Richardson, who caught 10 passes for a career-high 140 yards. Richardson leads Louisville with 633 receiving yards and 40 receptions.
Louisville averages 40.4 points and 492.1 total yards per game, including 225.1 rushing yards. That balance presents a major problem for Georgia Tech.
Georgia Tech desperately needs to stabilize after three consecutive losses.
The Yellow Jackets produced season lows of 11 points and 238 total yards at Pittsburgh. They were outgained 461-238 and converted only four of 23 combined third- and fourth-down opportunities.
Quarterback Grady Adamson did provide a late spark, generating 125 yards of total offense in one quarter. He rushed for 63 yards on six carries, including an 18-yard touchdown, and threw for another 62.
Georgia Tech also has playmakers outside. Jordan Allen and Dalen Penson have been two of the Jackets’ most productive receivers, with Allen producing 304 receiving yards over a recent three-game stretch and Penson contributing 174 over two games entering the Pitt matchup.
The larger issue is a defense that has been repeatedly exposed. Boston College rushed for 399 yards against Georgia Tech, and Pitt followed by producing 461 total yards.
That is dangerous against a Louisville team averaging more than six yards per rushing attempt.
College player-prop availability varies by sportsbook and jurisdiction, so these are target numbers to consider if offered near these ranges.
Kienholz has topped 2,000 passing yards while throwing only three interceptions.
Georgia Tech’s defensive struggles should create opportunities for Louisville to attack downfield.
Prediction: Lincoln Kienholz — 272 passing yards
Brown’s explosiveness was on full display against Stanford.
With Georgia Tech recently surrendering 399 rushing yards to Boston College, Louisville should continue feeding its backfield.
Prediction: Isaac Brown — 104 rushing yards
Richardson is coming off his best game as a Cardinal and has clearly become one of Kienholz’s preferred targets.
Prediction: Tre Richardson — 88 receiving yards
Louisville has scored 44, 34 and 52 points during its three-game winning streak.
Georgia Tech has surrendered 49 and 34 points in its last two games.
Prediction: Louisville — 42 points
Lincoln Kienholz — Louisville: His ability to hurt defenses as both a passer and runner makes Louisville difficult to scheme against.
Isaac Brown — Louisville: Brown can turn an ordinary rushing play into a touchdown, as his 75-yard score against Stanford demonstrated.
Tre Richardson — Louisville: Richardson’s target volume and big-play ability make him the Cardinals’ receiver most likely to exploit Georgia Tech’s secondary.
Grady Adamson — Georgia Tech: After providing a spark at Pittsburgh, his mobility could give the Jackets an additional way to challenge Louisville.
Georgia Tech must slow Louisville’s rushing attack. The Cardinals average 225.1 rushing yards per game, while Brown, Kienholz and Richardson all contribute on the ground.
Louisville must avoid allowing explosive passes. The Cardinals surrender 269 passing yards per game despite holding opponents to only 142.2 rushing yards.
The Yellow Jackets also need to stay out of third-and-long. Their offensive efficiency disappeared against Pitt, and Louisville’s speed could make those situations even harder.
The Louisville -14.5 spread requires a win by at least 15 points.
That’s a sizable road number, but the current form of these teams points strongly toward Louisville. The Cardinals have won three straight and just produced 545 yards against Stanford, while Georgia Tech has lost three straight and managed only 238 yards against Pitt.
The 60.5 total looks reachable. Louisville should score into the 30s or 40s, while the Cardinals’ own defense has allowed 27 points per game and enough passing yards to give Georgia Tech opportunities.
Georgia Tech should play with energy under the lights at Bobby Dodd Stadium, but Louisville possesses too many offensive advantages.
Kienholz creates plays with his arm and legs, Brown takes advantage of Georgia Tech’s vulnerable run defense, and Richardson produces another strong receiving performance.
Georgia Tech generates enough offense to contribute to the total, but Louisville eventually pulls away.
