Missouri has covered in three consecutive weeks, and four of their five games have reached the over this season. LSU was stunned by Ole Miss in Week 5, so now the key will be keeping the focus on the road against Missouri – Jordan Travis and Jaxson Dart have torched LSU’s defense while Brady Cook boasts a 72% completion percentage. Missouri beat LSU 45-41 at Faurot Field in 2020 – we think LSU may make up ground, but this will be a tough battle.
Prediction: Missouri 27 LSU 23
Georgia’s unbeaten record belies their poor ATS record this season; they trailed South Carolina and Auburn at halftime before coming back strong in each game, though we’ve yet to witness an all-out blowout that cements Georgia as one of the premier teams to beat. Kentucky won’t make things easy either, though Ray Davis posted an impressive four-touchdown performance against Florida; Devin Leary must protect the ball on the road.
Prediction: Georgia 30 Kentucky 20
At certain books, this line has increased to -5 and shows an abundance of confidence in Texas – who won the Red River Showdown 49-0 last season – over Oklahoma with Dillon Gabriel healthy. Eight out of 10 of their previous matchups have been decided by one score, though only one was decided by less than five points. Quinn Ewers led all rushers last season for 289 yards and four touchdowns; if that same number appears somewhere around 70%+ completion percentage will prove helpful for them against Oklahoma. The Longhorns are good.
Prediction: Texas 38 Oklahoma 27
Jalen Milroe has become the starting quarterback for Alabama. Aggies quarterback Max Johnson made two career starts against Alabama during his time at LSU from 2020-2021 seasons; the defense has performed exceptionally well for the Aggies, with only the Miami debacle being an exception, though overall defensive games favor the Crimson Tide.
Prediction: Alabama 27 Texas A&M 16
The Irish are back in action this weekend against an undefeated opponent – this time Louisville, under new head coach Jeff Brohm; with their strong defense allowing just 17.2 points per game and cannot afford to look ahead. NC State and Duke covered single-digit spreads against the Irish this past season, while Sam Hartman led the Irish offense. The Cardinals do not have the horses to hang in this one.
Prediction: Notre Dame 34 Louisville 17
