This is a wide-open race, and Colorado’s Travis Hunter, because of an injury that will keep him out a few weeks, has dropped off this list.

10) QB Bo Nix – Oregon

Nix will have an opportunity to move up in the rankings over the coming weeks with games against Colorado, Washington State and Utah that are ranked opponents. He currently boasts 893 yards thrown with 8 TDs (0 INTs) while completing 77% of his passes; additionally, he rushed for 60 yards this season.

9)  RB Audric Estime – Notre Dame

Estime has been my go-to running back so far in 2023. Averaging an astounding 8.3 yards per carry, the Irish will need his efforts this weekend to win their matchup against Wisconsin. Estime rushed for 521 yards with five touchdowns this year while also catching five passes for 55 yards!

8) QB Jordan Travis – Florida State

Travis has made incredible strides since joining the Seminoles and now stands a serious chance of earning Heisman consideration. He enjoyed an outstanding victory against LSU this season, where his play was outstanding; thus far this year, Travis has completed 63% of his passes while throwing for 739 yards and 8 touchdowns (1 interception) while also running 96 yards with one score.

7) QB Cam Ward – Washington State

Ward has been outstanding since making the switch from Incarnate Word. So far this season, he’s amassed 983 passing yards, nine touchdown passes with no interceptions and completed 72% of his passes, plus 95 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns, as well as an outstanding win against Wisconsin!

6) QB Jordan Travis – Florida State

Travis has made incredible strides since joining the Seminoles and now stands a serious chance of earning Heisman consideration. He enjoyed an outstanding victory against LSU this season, where his play was outstanding; thus far this year, Travis has completed 63% of his passes while throwing for 739 yards and 8 touchdowns (1 interception) while also running 96 yards with one score.

5) QB Quinn Ewers – Texas

Ewers has secured victories against Alabama and Wyoming (who defeated Texas Tech). He’s amassed 740 yards through 8 TD passes with no interceptions thrown while completing 60.7% of his throws. In addition, Ewers has scored two rushing TDs.

4) QB Shedeur Sanders – Colorado

Sanders has been exceptional this season and quickly advanced up NFL Draft boards. So far, he’s thrown for 1,251 yards and 10 TDs (1 INT) while completing 78.7% of his passes. He scored one rushing TD while leading the Buffaloes to an undefeated start!

3) QB Sam Hartman – Notre Dame

Hartman will be able to impress Heisman Voters this week versus Ohio State. Hartman has shown significant improvement with his ball security this season and currently has no interceptions (0). Additionally, he’s amassed 1,061 passing yards and 13 touchdowns at 71% completion while adding two rushing scores.

2) QB Caleb Williams – USC

Williams has had an outstanding season, throwing for 878 yards and 12 touchdowns (0 interceptions) while completing 78.6% of his passes. Additionally, he’s run 61 yards for one score on his feet! USC has not played very good competition, but when they do expect Williams to stay this high all season.

1) QB Michael Penix Jr. – Washington

Penix Jr is always exciting to watch – who doesn’t like watching lefties throw? So far this season, he’s led the Huskies to three easy victories, throwing for 1,332 yards and 12 touchdowns (1 interception), and completing 74.37% of his passes. The PAC 12 is one of the toughest conferences in College football this season and that could help his cause also.
