Maryland at No. 4 Michigan (-17) (12 p.m., FOX)

Maryland is explosive on offense, but let’s face it, they have faced nobody the caliber of Michigan yet. That said, Michigan has not faced any team the caliber of Maryland yet.

The Wolverines look strong on defense again, and JJ McCarthy is the real deal at Quarterback. The Terps have a tendency to look good until they get to big ten play and I think that will happen again.

No. 5 Clemson (-7) at No. 21 Wake Forest (12 p.m., ABC)

Jump on this game before the value increases, which it will during the week. Clemson’s defence is the real deal, and the offense is hit-and-miss, while Wake Forest scores a lot of points. The Demon Deacons will score some but not enough.

Pick: Clemson 27  Wake Forest 24(Take Wake and the 7 points)

No. 17 Baylor at Iowa State (-1.5) (12 p.m., ESPNU/ESPN2)

This game looks like a toss-up, and both teams need this win. History favors the home team in this one, and history also favors a close game. I have a feeling Baylor gets this one.

Pick: Baylor 27  Iowa State 24(Take Baylor and the 1.5 points)

Kent State at No. 1 Georgia (-44.5) (12 p.m., ESPN+)

Kent State has lost by an average 0f 27 points to Washington and Oklahoma. The only question is how seriously the Bulldogs will take this game. It’s hard to see Kent State scoring many points in this game.

Pick: Georgia 51  Kent State 3(Take Georgia and give the 44.5 points)

Central Michigan at No. 14 Penn State (-26) (12 p.m., BTN) 

James Franklin in his last five matchups against MAC opponents, has won by an average 0f 40 points, which will continue here. I am worried about a possible back door cover here, though.

Pick: Penn State 45  Central Michigan 17(Take the Lions and give the 26 points)

Middle Tennessee State at No. 25 Miami (-26) (3:30 p.m, ACC Network) 

Lets make this easy, MTSU lost their opener 42-7 against James Madison, and the Canes are coming off a tough loss; take the Canes. Check out the top football odds.

Pick: Miami 37  MTSU 20( Take the Blue Raiders and the the 26 points)

No. 20 Florida at No. 11 Tennessee (-9.5) (3:30 p.m., CBS) 

You never know what you’ll get with gators QB Anthony Richardson and I expect him to struggle at Neyland stadium. Tennessee has been explosive on offense and they have a score to settle with the Gators.

Pick: Tennessee 34  Tennessee 24(Take the Vols and give the 9.5 points)

Bet on Tennessee/Florida

No. 21 Texas (-4.5) at Texas Tech (3:30 p.m, TBD)

A lot of value here betting on the Longhorns as Texas tech last beat Texas at home in 08. That streak continues in this one.

Pick: Texas 38, Texas Tech 57(Take the Raiders and the points)

Tulsa vs No. 16 Ole Miss (-20.5) (4 p.m., SEC Network) 

Tulsa is a good team, but the Rebels are averaging over 270 yards on the ground per game and will bully Tulsa in this one.

Pick: Ole Miss 41  Tulsa 16(Take Ole Miss and give the 20.5 points)

No. 15 Oregon (-6.5) at Washington State (4 p.m., FOX) 

Oregon got a huge win over BYU last weekend, but Washington State has been a big surprise this season, and 6.5 points are enough to make me take the Cougars.

Pick: Oregon 27  Washington State 24(Take the Cougars and the 6.5 points)

Northern Illinois at No. 8 Kentucky (-25.5) (7 p.m., ESPN2)

The Wildcats defense has been stellar, but Northern Illinois is a good team that should not be overlooked. The Wildcats win, but it won’t be easy.

Pick: Kentucky 31  Northern Illinois 17( Take the Huskies and the 25.5 points)

No. 10 Arkansas at No. 23 Texas A&M (-2.5) (7 p.m., ESPN)

Arkansas is the real deal with QB KJ Jefferson and stout run defense and they will win this game.

Pick: Arkansas 30  Texas A&M 23(Take the Hogs and the 2.5 points)

Wisconsin at No. 3 Ohio State (-18) (7:30 p.m., ABC) 

Tough one to pick with the points because the badgers can run and pass this season, and the Buckeyes’ defense has not been tested yet.

Pick: Ohio State 48  Wisconsin 13(Take the Buckeyes and give 18 points)

Bet on Wisconsin/Ohio State

Vanderbilt at No. 2 Alabama (-40.5) (7:30 p.m., SEC Network)

This is simple, isn’t it? Bama by as many points as Bama wants to win.

Pick: Alabama 55  Vanderbilt 7(Take Bama and give the 40.5 points)

Kansas State at No.6 Oklahoma (-13) (8 p.m., FOX) 

Kansas State has played Oklahoma tough as of late, but the Sooners with Venables seem different. Check out the top football betting sites.

Pick: Oklahoma Sooners 42  Kansas State 24(take the Sooners and give the 13 points)

No. 7 USC (-6.5) at Oregon State (9:30 p.m., Pac-12 Network) 

There should be fireworks in this matchup as USC averages over 50 points per game, and Oregon State is not too shabby at a little over 45 points per game.

Pick: USC 44  Oregon State 34(Take Trojans and give the 6.5 points)

Wyoming at No. 19 BYU (-21) (10:15 p.m., TBD)

Wyoming’s last win in Provo was in 1987, and it’s not happening this year. BYU had a disastrous loss at Oregon and needs to bounce back in this one.

Pick: BYU 34  Wyoming 17(Take the Cowboys and the 21 points)
