This is an intriguing matchup with the road team(Utah) being a small favorite, and for good reason. The Utes could be a serious CFP contender this year. Rising is one of the top quarterbacks in the nation, and they return most of their team from last season. Florida has a new coach in Billy Napier, I think he is the right man for the job in Florida, but it will take a few years to get Florida back to where Florida expects to be.
Kyle Whittingham, their head coach, isn’t leaving. They are returning quarterback Cameron Rising and five of their top pass-catchers from 2021.
The most important question Utah must answer regarding receiver is how to replace Britain Covey. Covey is currently in NFL training camp with the Eagles. He was an extremely productive receiver for Utah last season.
The line is where two of Utah’s top players from 2021 have also moved on to the NFL. This is the only question mark in the Utah offense.
The only problem defensively is at linebacker. Their top two LBs have also left for the NFL. They have many options for replacing them.
Overall, Utah’s team has a lot of things to love. They have fewer questions than other teams because they have so many players returning from the Rose Bowl squad.

Let’s begin with Florida as they enter a new chapter of their football history with Billy Napier’s debut as head coach. This season will be a difficult start for him as he faces a Utah team who was in the Rose Bowl last year.
Napier, who was a strong coach at Louisiana before moving to Florida, will take over for Dan Mullen, who led the Gators to only six wins last season.
Napier also worked as an assistant coach for Nick Saban and Dabo Sweeney, so there is plenty of hype around what he will bring to Gainesville.
Anthony Richardson, the projected starting quarterback, displayed exceptional talent in his limited playing time this season as a backup. However, it remains to be seen how Richardson will perform as a starter.
He needs to be more consistent in his decision-making and make better decisions. But he does have the ability to play.
Richardson’s team only returns 13 of 53 touchdowns from this past season. If Florida wants to be successful, it must improve its skill positions.
Florida’s strength is in the front. Napier is well-known for emphasizing the offensive lines, as demonstrated this year with two offensive line coaches.
They will return three starters and include a transfer from Louisiana as a guard with previous experience under the Napier system.
The defense of Florida is most concerned about its depth. They must replace injured players or recruit young, inexperienced men to fill the gap.

I know the game is in the Swamp, but the Utes are the superior team, and I think they will easily cover the 2.5 points they are favored by. The Utes are superior to the gators in almost every phase of the game.
