Prediction Market #2: Oklahoma to Cover the 5.5-Point Spread

The point-spread market presents a closer decision. Kalshi displayed Oklahoma -5.5 at approximately 51¢, while Polymarket priced the same general outcome near 52¢ when the markets were reviewed.

The difference is limited, but Kalshi offered the lower displayed purchase price. Participants should confirm the point spread and contract price before purchasing because both can change before kickoff.

Michigan’s defense and home-field advantage create reasons for caution. Nichols and Bowles give the Wolverines defenders capable of slowing Oklahoma’s rushing attack and creating negative plays.

However, Michigan’s offensive performance against Western Michigan makes it difficult to support the home team. The Wolverines recorded only one conventional offensive touchdown and needed a final-play completion to avoid a major upset.
