No. 8 Ole Miss at Mississippi State (-1.5) Thursday (7:30 p.m., ESPN)
Lane Kiffin vs Mike Leach should be at the very least an entertaining matchup with a lot of offensive wrinkles. I like the Bulldogs at home in this one in a game that should go down to the wire. Pick Miss. St -1.5
No. 17 Iowa at Nebraska (-0.5) Friday (1:30 p.m., BTN)
The Cornhuskers have been masters at losing one-score games, and this game represents a chance for Scott frost to set the tone for next season. The hawkeyes are offensively changed, and I look for Nebraska to break through and get a significant win. Pick Nebraska -0.5
No. 1 Georgia (-35.5) at Georgia Tech (12 p.m., ABC)
The Bulldogs have won the last three meetings by an average of 37 points, and Georgia Tech is coming off a 55-0 beating at the hands of Notre Dame. Pick Georgia tech -35.5
No. 2 Ohio State (-8.5) at No.6 Michigan (noon, FOX)
Ohio State has owned the Wolverines in this century, and emotions will be high as the Wolverines have their best shot in years to win this game. The winner will have an inside track at a College Playoff spot. Can Michigan control the clock and keep the Buckeyes explosive offense off the field? Can Heisman favorite C.J. Stroud wrap up the Heisman in this rivalry game? Pick Ohio State -8.5
Texas Tech at No. 9 Baylor (-14.5) (noon, FS1)
Baylor is looking to clinch a berth in the Big 12 Championship game, and I think they will. Can they cover this spread, though? Is the big question? Pick Baylor -14.5
No. 4 Cincinnati (-14.5) at East Carolina (3:30 p.m., ABC)
The Pirates will look to play spoiler, and they are a tough out at home. The Bearcats look to be on an entirely different level, though. Pick Cincinnati -14.5
No. 3 Alabama (-19.5) at Auburn (3:30 p.m., CBS)
Alabama has struggled in its last few games against LSU and Arkansas, and make no mistake; this will be the Super Bowl for Auburn. At home, the Tigers are on a three-game winning streak, and I think they will cover this game. Pick Auburn +19.5
Oregon State at No. 11 Oregon (-7.5) (3:30 p.m, ESPN)
Oregon State beat the Ducks last year; this year will be a different story as I look for the Ducks to take this one and cover the spread. Pick Oregon -7.5
Penn State (-1.5) at No. 12 Michigan State (3:30 p.m, ABC)
Penn State has a tough run defense, and they will force the Spartans to beat them through the air. Michigan State was exposed last weekend and will be again this weekend. Pick Penn State -1.5
No. 10 Oklahoma at No. 7 Oklahoma State (-4.5) (7:30 p.m, ABC)
Oklahoma quarterback Caleb Williams has struggled the last few weeks, and the Cowboys defense is excellent. I look for Oklahoma State to take this one at home and cover. Pick Oklahoma State -4.5
No. 5 Notre Dame (-20.5) at Stanford (8 p.m., FOX)
The Irish have covered in their last six games, and the Cardinals have failed to cover in their previous six games, don’t tempt fate. Pick Notre Dame -20.5
No. 13 BYU (-6.5) at USC (10:30 p.m., ESPN)
Bet this game before the line bumps up to a touchdown. The Cougars are simply the better team and will win this game by double-digits. Pick BYU -6.5
