14) Nortwestern Wildcats
When you thought it couldn’t get worse for the Wildcats, they give up 33 points to Iowa’s awful offense.
Northwestern was limited to just 18 yards rushing on 37 unsuccessful rushing attempts. It also finished with less than half the total yards of an inept Iowa offense, which ranks last among Power 5 and 129th overall.

13) Indiana Hoosiers
The Hoosiers are 106th in total offense with 345.6 yards per week, 128th at rushing offense with 80.4 yards/per game, and one of nine Power 5 schools that have not allowed a 60-yard gain this season. New offensive coordinator Walt Bell should be on thin ice.
12) Rutgers Scarlet Knights
Rutgers flew high after a home win against Indiana; the Minnesota Golden Gophers promptly halted that high. The Scarlet Knights have a quarterback carousel that never stops and never produces a starter that can consistently win games.
11) Michigan State Spartans
The Spartans embarrassed themselves on and off the field on Saturday as a lifeless offense was beaten down by the Wolverines. The Spartans saved their energy for the after-game activities, and four players were suspended.
10) Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Huskers had a chance to upset Illinois on Saturday until QB Casey Thompson got hurt in the second quarter. The Huskers have shown improvement ever since firing former Head Coach Scott Frost.
9) Iowa Hawkeyes
The maligned quarterback Spencer Petras completed 21 out of 30 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown in what is arguably his best performance since last season. While tailbacks Kaleb John and Leshon William combined for 136 yards rushing yards on 24 attempts, please don’t get too excited though, as they did it against a terrible Northwestern team.

The Badgers were idle this past weekend.
7) Minnesota Golden Gophers
The defense of Minnesota smothered Scarlet Knights with its defense. They were held to under 90 yards passing and under 50 yards rushing and forced three turnovers (two interceptions and one fumble). Minnesota is an excellent team when they are healthy.
6) Purdue Boilermakers
Purdue still has a shot at the Big Ten West title, and a showdown with Illinois looms if they get past Iowa.
5) Maryland Terrapins
They lost by just seven and two points to Michigan and Purdue, respectively, in the conference. No other team has been within 13 points of this Wolverine’s team. The bye week was great timing given the injury to star quarterback TauliaTagovailoa on her knee. Check out the top

4) Penn State Nittany Lions
Penn State had the lead in the fourth quarter until Sean Clifford fell apart, and the Buckeyes’ offense exploded. Penn State should be able to win out and go 10-2, but it’s fair to say that will be a disappointment since it comes with finishing third in the division.
3) Illinois Fighting Illini
Who would have thought after an early season loss to Indiana that the Illini would have the inside track to win the West at this point in the season?

The Buckeyes beat Penn State, but they had to come from behind to do it. The Nittany Lions were the Buckeyes first real road test, and while Ohio State did take care of business, I still have some questions about their defense.
1) Michigan Wolverines
The Wolverines have a dominating defense, still, some questions about the Offense exist and the schedule has been pretty soft. I rank them number one because I think, in the end, defense will rule the day, and I have questions about the Buckeyes defense.
