13) Michigan State Spartans

Do you think Michigan State regrets that massive contract to Mel Tucker? The Spartans looked incapable of doing anything on Saturday as the defense allowed over 600 yards of offense to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Things do not look good for the Spartans.

12) Indiana Hoosiers

The Hoosiers looked like a good team for a half against the Michigan Wolverines; unfortunately, they looked like the same old Hoosiers in the second half as Michigan dominated the second half. The Hoosiers’ pass-happy offense fell apart, and they ran for just 25 yards.

11) Rutgers Scarlet Knights

Rutgers controlled most of the game against Nebraska until they self-destructed with penalties and turnovers. In truth, they looked like the same old Rutgers. They have time to regroup with a week off before playing a winnable game against the Hoosiers.

10) Nebraska Cornhuskers

The Cornhuskers were the recipients of a Scarlet Knight meltdown and they surprisingly took advantage of it to get a much-needed second straight win.

9) Iowa Hawkeyes

If the Hawkeyes want to win, the defense has to score because the offense is anemic. The Hawkeyes accounted for just 222 yards of total offense, it’s a good thing they have a solid kicker or they would never score. The defense is so good they almost pulled out a win against Illinois.

8) Wisconsin Badgers

Graham Mertz was on fire against Northwestern, I know it’s just Northwestern, but the Badgers offense did look good on Saturday. With a game against Michigan State next, the Badgers should move above .500. The pass defense still looks shaky, but the Badgers did look much better on Saturday under new head coach Jim Leonhard.

7) Maryland Terrapins

The Terps threw the ball well against Purdue, but in the end, the lack of a running game and way too many penalties was the Terps downfall. With a trip to Indiana looming, a 5-2 record should be easy to attain.

6) Minnesota Golden Gophers

The Gophers were idle this past weekend. The Gophers travel to Illinois next weekend for a big game. Check out the top football odds.

5) Purdue Boilermakers

The Boilermakers earned a quality win on the road against Maryland, and Aiden O’Connell looked great. The Boilers only losses this year were to Penn State and Syracuse. The Boilermakers are a dangerous team.

4) Illinois Fighting Illini

The Illini overcame the loss of starting Quarterback Tommy Devito and won ugly. This is a tough hard-nosed football team. This team finds ways to win games, winning ugly is a great term for what this team is doing now.
