Armed Forces Bowl Navy Midshipmen vs Oklahoma Sooners: Odds, Tip, Predictions-12-27-24

Oklahoma had a horrible year. Injuries and bad luck killed what looked like a promising season. They upset Alabama 24-3 to become bowl eligible and now face a good Navy team that has been a tough out this season. The Naval Academy bet Army in an upset, and now they get a shot at a traditional power in a bowl game.

Navy Midshipmen vs Oklahoma Sooners

• Point Spread: Oklahoma -2.5
• Moneyline Navy +114
• Moneyline Oklahoma -137
• Over/Under 43.5

The Navy is facing a whole slew of Oklahoma second-teamers. Granted, most of them would start for the Navy, but this still isn’t the team that got here struggled a lot during an up and down season.

Oklahoma is missing three of its top four receivers, QB Jackson Arnold is off to Auburn, and star defenders LB Danny Stutsman and safety Billy Bowman are getting ready for the NFL. This is an entirely different Sooners team than we have seen this season. Continuity will be an issue for the Sooners on offense, especially at the quarterback position.

No, the Navy isn’t just a running team; it averages nearly 250 yards per game. Oklahoma is 1-4 when allowing 110 rushing yards or more, and Navy has been held to under 140 yards just once. Unlike Navy teams of the past, this Navy team is able to throw the ball.

The big question, if you are Navy, will be how big this game is after you beat your biggest rival, Army, just two weeks ago? A lot of picking the Bowl games anymore is picking the team that the game is more important to, and that would have to be the Navy.

Oklahoma vs Navy Moneyline

Moneyline value exists on both teams, if I really like Navy in this game on the Money line. The game is more important to the Navy, and the Navy is the superior team after all of the Sooner’s defections. Oklahoma vs Navy Over/Under Analysis

The Navy will be able to score points; the question will be, can the Sooners play that many backups? In the end, I am betting the over in this game.

DraftKings

Tip: Bet the over 43.5

• High-scoring game
• turnovers will be key
• Navy wants it more

I expect Navy to run the ball well after a slow start. The difference in this game will be at the quarterback position where Navy will have a huge advantage. Navy 30 Oklahoma 21
