Edmonton has been winless so far this season, but they will win a game at some point, and this looks like it could be the week they get a breakthrough win against a banged-up Tiger-Cats team. After opening its season with three consecutive losses, Hamilton has shown signs of promise this year. They are currently 5-5 against the spread, and four out of their past five games have gone under totals.
Hamilton never anticipated third-string quarterback Taylor Powell would see much playing time, but injuries have necessitated his inclusion onto the field. In Hamilton’s last game versus Buffalo, he made two interceptions while throwing for 202 yards passing.
For Hamilton to keep winning games, they must find ways to provide better support for Powell. Their defense has allowed 28 points per game, while their offense ranks seventh in CFL scoring 20 points per game.
