The potential heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury & Oleksandr Usyk for all four belts is a fight that has the boxing world buzzing.
The 35-year old defeated Anthony Joshua for the second time in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) on Saturday night. He was then asked by the announcer what he would do next now that Joshua’s chapter was finished.
Usyk replied by saying that he would like to fight “The Gypsy King” next for all the heavyweight marbles or not fight at all. Usyk made it clear that he wants to fight the WBC heavyweight champion.
Fury replied to Usyk’s social media call by saying that he was up for the fight, and that Usyk is “easy” for Fury.
Although the fight is unlikely to take place this year, a possible match-up between Fury or Usyk next year is definitely something worth looking into.
Let’s hope that the heavyweight kingpins will agree to fight, start contract negotiations soon, and get the fight started for the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
The winner of the fight between Fury or Usyk is the most likely to be the number one heavyweight in his era. They can then retire knowing that no one could defeat them.
Fury will be a more than 2-1 favorite, but Usyk will be the most skilled fighter that Fury has ever faced.
Tyson Fury is the clear favorite at -280
Oleksandr Usyk is the underdog at +220
