Claressa Shields will face a tough test on her weekend journey to England to take on Savannah Marshall. This fight is for the four women’s middleweight belts. Saturday’s winner will be declared the undisputed champion and the best female fighter in the world. Check out the top boxing odds!
This fight is a 50/50 match on paper. Marshall has beaten Shields’ in an amateur bout over a decade ago. This is Shields’s only loss as a professional or amateur fighter. T-Rex will seek revenge and hopes to win all four middleweight belts in her 13th pro fight. We have a great fight in the pipeline!
This fight has captured the attention of boxing fans across the Atlantic. To become the world’s undisputed number one female middleweight fighter, the UK’s best middleweight and America’s best middleweight collide for the four belts.
This being said, there is already an outline for the match-up. Savannah Marshall defeated Claressa Shields in the 2012 AIBA World Championships. This is still Shields’ only loss to date. We think Shields may suffer the second defeat in her career against the same women; however, this is not an amateur fight, and that last fight was ten years ago.
The 32-year-old has beaten the self-proclaimed “GWOAT” (Greatest Woman of All Time), and it seems to be getting the better Shields. Savannah Marshall, a 27-year-old Brit, seems to get Shields agitated and rattled when she is together with her. This shows that the English star is well in control of Shields without throwing a punch.
It is difficult to divide the girls in terms of technical ability. Marshall, three inches taller and more athletic than Shields, has more ammunition and is a natural middleweight. Marshall can box in orthodox or southpaw stances and be highly effective in both. Shields is a great talent, but she can’t do enough in the ring for her shots and combinations to be successful against the much larger lady.
We can see that Marshall has more options than Shields. Marshall is the stronger puncher and can box outside more. But only time will tell what happens.

We believe that Savannah Marshall will win the judge’s scorecards in the highly anticipated female undisputed midweight fight on Saturday night.
We have already mentioned that Marshall has many ways she can win this fight. Marshall has a record of ten knockout victories in 12 professional fights.
Marshall has shown in the past that her patience and ability to box on the back foot have allowed her to slowly break down her opponent before she goes in for the kill in later rounds or coasts to victory.
Marshall won the title by seventh-round KO against Hannah Rankin in October 2020. But she was not gung-ho and took her time before she finished the fight.
We believe that the undefeated English talent will likely win a close and competitive fight but come out on top in the judges scorecards. Savannah Marshall, the winner of all four women’s world middleweight titles, now you can just bet straight up money line on Marshall but picking Marshall by a decision has a much bigger payoff at more than 3-1!.
