Deonaty wilder returns to action after three hard-fought battles with Tyson Fury to take on the once-promising Robert Helenius. Both fighters are at an advanced age, but if everything goes well, this could be a very entertaining battle between two solid big men with everything to gain and everything to lose. The odds favor Wilder at 9-1, but if Helenius can stretch this fight past round four, I think he has a legitimate shot at winning.

Helenius has some advantages. Wilder has sparred with him many times, so he has a good idea of his opponent. However, sparring is quite different from fight night. After suffering back-to-back defeats, he believes he is now catching Wilder at the right time.
Helenius, 38, hails from Finland and arrives at his destination confidently after he has scored two of his most significant career wins against Adam Kownacki. This is not Adam Kownacki though.
Helenius has two choices here, choice number one is to try to smother Wilder and rough him up. Choice number two is to keep his distance with his jab and to try to land a big shot. Choice number one is the obvious choice to me.
Wilder only had an amateur career spanning 35 fights. However, he quickly rose up the ranks to win an Olympic bronze medal. His style is not technical, and he is often criticized for his inept boxing skills. He can be seen swinging at thin air, crossing his feet and often off-balance, but this awkward, unpredictable style works well for him. Regardless of whether you are a fan or otherwise, this man has won numerous awards for “Knockout Of The Year” and 20 first-round KOs. From the first bell to the last, he is dangerous.
Although Trainer Malik Scott uncovered a few more hidden talents to enhance his game, Helenius is technically a better, more experienced and skilled boxer.
Wilder’s heart can not be questioned but at an advanced age how much did the three fights with Tyson Fury take out of him?
I expect Helenius will come out of his corner confidently. He may land the first few strikes and score eye-catching shots to impress judges. But, as soon as Wilder unleashes that right hand, it’s over. Wilder’s first right hand may cause a reaction. He might be able to absorb a few or even collapse under the first one. This fight will end in the first three rounds.
