Formula One (F1) is arguably the most popular sport within auto racing and formula 1 betting is growing ever-popular. There are plenty of generous welcome offers available to choose from to use on your F1 picks too!
If you’re wondering what are the best F1 sports betting websites, then look no further, this article will give you all you need to know. We’ll discuss the different types of F1 betting markets, odds and finish off with our Editor’s choice for the best formula 1 betting sites.
The F1 sprint is a 100km race without pit stops. Drivers will race straight to the chequered flag, just as they did last year. The season saw the top three drivers finish with extra points as a result which proved crucial last year. The top eight drivers who will finish the Sprint race will receive points this year. It’s a nice mixture, but I doubt it will bother Leclerc too much at this stage. P1 will get eight points instead of three, with each subsequent position getting one less. These points will be applicable to both the constructors’ and drivers’ championships. It sounds fun and productive, right? The sprint weekend has produced some exciting racing, but it also bumps up the order for Sunday’s race, the format which will be unchanged. So, what’s the deal? This is how it will look for this weekend:
Friday Morning – Practice 1.
Wait, what? After just one practice session, we’ll move into qualifying on Friday afternoon. The Sprint race will take place the next day, and the qualifying will determine the starting grid for the Sprint race. Qualifying format will remain unchanged.
A 100km race with no pit stops. Just racing. What are they racing for, exactly? The finishing order, as that will decide the grid positions for Sunday’s Grand Prix. This means that if Lewis Hamilton qualifies on pole on Friday, but finishes third in the sprint race, he will start Sunday’s race from third on the grid.
The sprint race results will determine the starting positions of the drivers for the race.
It sounds like fun, right?! Probably. It is really necessary though? Perhaps not. Although I may be considered a traditionalist, I believe that Sunday’s Grand Prix should still be decided by qualifying. Yes, there should be a Sprint race but it should be a separate championship or the starting positions for the sprint races should be determined by the drivers’ championship allocation. Anyway, rant over and moving on.
This Sprint format offers a few more betting options. Betfair in Europe has some excellent markets, which offer some betting opportunities for the Sprint race. It’s counterpart in the USA, Fanduel doesn’t appear to offer the same markets. The Scuderia is still the best bet, but don’t discount RedBull as they will be trying to make up points for their poor start to the season. Mercedes is riding any wave of success that they can find. As they improve their car and continue to upgrade it, I believe they will eventually be fighting in the top three for the constructors’ championship. Sergio Perez is a fan of this track and it seems he loves it. There’s some footage onboard of the Mexican going wheel-to-wheel with Alex Albon as well as with Esteban Ocon, at the last two races. His recent form and the fact that his contract doesn’t cover next year means he doesn’t have a seat yet, it’s clear that he has something to prove.

The USA has recently had a surge of new online sportsbooks hitting the market, most of which are offering generous welcome offers. Hence why there has never been a better time to benefit from the value of these free bets currently on offer. However, you’re going to want to be sure you’re using a bonus for the best betting site for F1. The good news is there’s plenty to choose from, in fact USA bettors are now almost spoilt for choice after so many years of not having online sports betting accessible, including of course, formula 1 betting.
So, fasten your seatbelt, sit back and enjoy the ride, while we take you on a journey exploring the world of F1 sports betting and the formula 1 betting sites on offer. We hope to have you in pole position by the time you have finished reading this article, and raring to go for more!
We like to view the review page to initially see if there have been any repetitive feedback issues occurring. Repeated complaints can often indicate a red flag, or prompt us to double-check the matter and dig a little further during our review.
A good number of customer service contact options can give credit to a F1 betting website. While we prefer to see an active live chat facility being offered, having some alternatives is a good option for F1 betting websites. Most good formula 1 betting sites will offer live chat, plus other options, including a responsive email option.
Another thing we like to keep an eye out for whenever conducting a sports betting sites review are the payment methods on offer. Similar to the customer service example above, the more options the better, usually. Having said that, we consider it vital for a modern F1 sports betting website to offer debit cards and some form of eWallet as a minimal amount of options.
When depositing your money into a formula 1 betting website you’ll want to have peace of mind that your monies deposited are going to be safe. Not only that, if you are lucky enough to be a bigger winner, maybe from a huge parlay payout, you’ll want assurance you’re going to be paid your winnings!
When looking for new bookies online, a generous welcome bonus is the icing on the cake we’re looking for! There’s nothing better than finding a website that ticks all the boxes, as well as offering a nice welcome bonus.
With so many new sportsbooks to choose from, it can be a daunting process trying to choose ‘the’ best betting site for F1. That’s why we have dropped you a recommendation here to steer you in the right direction for our F1 sports betting website selection.
Draftkings is undoubtedly one of the most well-known names when it comes to online sports betting in the US. Draftkings were already an established, trusted outfit, prior to online sports betting being fully legalized in most states in the US. They were previously famous for their daily fantasy sports website. Their sportsbook is just as impressive, and that includes the formula 1 betting offered on their website and app.
Formula 1 betting can be found on the Draftkings sportsbook under the category “motorsports”. If motorsports are your thing you can also bet on NASCAR racing there too! If you enjoy futures betting you can bet on the outright winner of the formula one season. The outright betting markets currently on offer at DraftKings are the “drivers world championship” and odds are also available on the “constructors championship”.
The constructors championship is based on the vehicle manufacturer, such as Mercedes, for example. These types of futures bets are very popular prior to a new season starting annually in March. However, we have known these markets to remain popular right up until the end of the season! For example, in the 2021 season, when eventual winner Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton fought a close battle right to the end!
Draftkings is offering a very generous welcome offer that can be found on this page. Draftkings do not set a betting deposit limit and offer a wide choice of deposit and withdrawal methods. DraftKings offers a page called “DK nation”, where you can find the latest F1 betting news.
At TheGruelingTruth, we realize everyone has different needs as well as different experience levels, when it comes to online betting – whether you’re looking for the best NBA betting site or even the best esports betting site. Therefore, a one-size-fits-all approach is not one we like to opt for. Users will have different priorities, some people simply want a sportsbook with a great welcome bonus, while other people will want various payment methods, live streaming, or 24/7 customer services.
If you’re new to online sports betting and F1 betting then you may simply be looking to enjoy the huge amount of welcome offers made available. Our suggestion would be to try to use each one wisely, and choose a sportsbook that offers the sports you prefer to bet on.
If you are with a current sports betting provider, but feel their website does not totally satisfy your betting needs, nor offer formula 1 betting, then it may be worth looking elsewhere. There are lots of bonuses available at the moment, with some low deposit betting sites offering larger bonuses than the deposit amount too.
You can be rest assured that all the online betting providers found on this page and website have all been fully checked by us. Reading these can save you the time and hassle of finding out these vital bits of information to help make your mind up.
Now that we have provided you all you need to know about what to look for with a formula 1 betting website, here’s some extra information about using these websites! Before you head off to our editor’s recommendation, here’s a few things to consider when using our recommended sportsbook operators.
While this page is focussed on formula 1 betting, if you have other sports you enjoy, you may want to check if the operator offers those sports too! Before looking to use that tempting online betting bonus offered, first check that the sportsbook does offer the sports you want to bet on!
Even if the sportsbook you’re looking at provides the sports you like to bet on, it may be worth considering if there are specific markets you enjoy. A good sportsbook will offer a good selection of markets within each sport. Lesser-known, niche sports often have very few betting markets offered, unless the operator specializes in that sport. Always check!
Betting odds are a vital part of the game if you’re looking to profit long-term from your betting picks. Some bookmakers are known for having high “vig” levels, which is short for vigorish, and is the word used for the margins bookmakers use to profit from their bets. Either read our reviews or take a look at the odds yourself, and make sure they feel right for you!
Being able to login and navigate to the sports, the market or the page where you need is an important part of using an F1 betting website or app. While it is nice to have a fancy, flash, modern looking website to use, it is equally important to be able to access the places you need with minimal fuss. This factor could be the difference of placing your winning bet on time, or not!
We all like to enjoy generous welcome bonuses, right? But some bonuses, despite looking ever-so mouthwatering, have complicated requirements, such as large amounts to play through, before being able to convert your bonus into withdrawable cash!
Finding the perfect formula 1 betting site will be slightly harder than finding the best site for a common sport, such as NFL betting. We hope our editor’s choice has helped you narrow-down your choices to find the ideal F1 betting site for your needs.
With the F1 season annally kicking off in March, and continuing right up until the end of the year we have no doubt there’ll be plenty of welcome bonuses and also ongoing offers to enjoy all season long! Take on board the things we mentioned such as betting markets and odds and you will find yourself in a good position!
The US has recently had an influx of new online sports betting websites all competing for your custom! We have no doubt they will be offering free bets on most sports, including F1 betting. Our article at TheGruelingTruth explains all you need to know when looking for the best F1 betting sites.
There are many new online sportsbooks available nowadays, since the recent legalix=zation of online sports betting in the US states. Many have good odds, some not as good. This will depend on the betting operator and the markets offered within their sportsbooks. It would be fair to say that most good US sportsbooks will supply F1 betting odds, but you will need to find an operator who supplies the driver championship odds too. We have taken the time at TheGruelingTruth to write a full article about F1 betting. The page mentions betting available on the drivers championship as well as the constructors championship.
You will need to deposit money into your F1 betting site at some point, whether it be when first signing up for a welcome bonus, or depositing more money to enjoy another offer. The same will apply to withdrawing, if you have had a lucky win! It’s best to check beforehand if your chosen betting operator offers the deposit and withdrawal methods you’re looking for. Most will offer debit cards, but if you’re looking for paypal or eWallets, we recommend checking before. See our guide at TheGruelingTruth.
The 2021 drivers championship came ‘down to the wire’, on the final day, between Lewis Hamilton and eventual winner Max Verstappen. You can find the latest betting news at DraftKings page “DKnation”, mentioned in our F1 article at TheGruelingTruth. It may also be worth watching the betting markets for the driver championship, where you will not be surprised to find both Lewis Hamilton and eventual winner Max Verstappen leading the market odds to win!
