What is the NBA Eastern Conference?

We use the American odds format. It may seem confusing if you haven’t seen it before but it’s very simple to understand. If the odds start with a ‘+’ then a $100 stake returns that number in profit. So a $100 stake on the 76ers would return a $700 profit if they were to win.
If the odds start with ‘-’ then the following number is how much you’ll need to bet to take $100 in profit. So to make $100 on the Celtics you’d need to wager $250. Make sense?

Looking at the teams, the scenarios and the odds, there are a few teams we like the look of but none more than the 2021 champs the Milwaukee Bucks. Here’s why:
The Bucks odds are shot against the Pacers because starman Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered an injury that could rule him out for the full first round. This automatically gives them value. Missing Giannis is a huge blow but they are no slouches without him.
They still have one of the best shooters in the game in Dame Lillard playing at the PG position. Portis will pick up the rebound slack left behind too. Their team is still very strong. Getting past the Pacers will be the big test and if they manage to do it then they should have Giannis back for the next rounds.
At +700 they are looking like great value to us. The Celtics as favorites don’t really hold much value at -250 odds. It just isn’t really worth backing as a single.

With these two teams being so strong it’s a tough one to call. Celtics would go in as favorites but it won’t be so simple for us.
