What NBA Draft Prospects are The Wizards Most Attracted to?
Publicly, the Washington Wizards brought Dyson Daniels and Ochai Agbaji, Johnny Davis (Mark Williams), Blake Wesley, Jeremy Sochan, Tomas Satoransky, Tari Eason and Jaden Hardy to DC for pre-draft training in June. After the failed Spencer Dinwiddie experiment, they need a point guard. Tomas Satoransky is reportedly back in Spain, and Ish Smith has a team option that Washington may be unable to afford. However, that does not mean that point guard will be the selection.

“I don’t place a lot of value on the workout. Sheppard explained that you can be a great shooter and still miss every shot. “We are bringing them in for the interview to break you down and make you accountable for your decisions. Many of these players are being interviewed, but they don’t know. They have spoken to many people, even though they didn’t know it. You can download information from everybody. I don’t expect men to act stupid around me or in front of our staff. But maybe they do. We’ll find out. We want to see your character.”
Bradley Beal Offseason Update
The worst secret in Washington is that Bradley Beal, a three-time All-Star, will continue to be a Wizards player through next season. It would be untrue to claim that the two sides have reached an agreement before the free agency moratorium expires on June 30, when the sides are expected to meet in person. Beal has 248,000,000 reasons to sign for five more years. This is especially true when you consider that Beal could always ask for help down the line in today’s player-empowered league. Beal agreed to have season-ending wrist surgery in the middle of last season to ensure his health for the 2022-23 season. Both sides continue to talk about the future and Beal’s possible return.

Sheppard stated, “I don’t worry about the noise outside, but I just look at him, and I know that he’s somebody you’ll build your franchise around.” Sheppard was referring to a fanbase that may not be happy with another supermax contract being awarded, which would hurt the team’s salary cap. Sheppard Offers Praise To Wizards Head Coach
Fans may disagree with Sheppard’s support for his head coach hiring last year. Jerry West, a Los Angeles legend, once advised Sheppard not to be afraid of taking big swings. Washington’s president sees the Russell Westbrook trade acquisitions and Kristaps Porzingis trading acquisitions as helping the Wizards in various ways without having to give away many future assets that could later be detrimental to an organization.
