Deandre Ayton #22 of the Phoenix Sun and Cameron Johnson #23 of the Phoenix Sun look at the ball after shot during the Toronto Raptors vs Phoenix Sun NBA regular season game at Scotiabank Arena on February 21, 2020 in Toronto, Canada (Toronto Raptors won 118-101) (Photo by Anatoliy Cherkasov/NurPhoto via Getty Images)
Ayton is young and has the potential to become a top-level big man in the league. However, it may seem crazy for the Phoenix Suns to not offer him a max contract. Phoenix only has a limited window of opportunity. Given Chris Paul’s age, the Suns need to ensure that Devin Booker is paired with Paul and that the best players surround Paul. Booker seems to be not interested in leaving Phoenix. However, another disappointing season like this could lead to Booker asking for a trade. Check out the

Ayton, 23, has questions. Ayton averaged 17.2 points per game and 10.2 rebounds per contest, but there are times when he doesn’t play up to his potential. He could be one of the reasons why the Phoenix Suns are not willing to sign him to a max contract.
Now, Phoenix must ask itself where Ayton will end up. Sign-and-trade would make sense because Phoenix would get some value back.

Deandre Ayton: Where is the Best Landing Place?
Let’s look at Deandre Ayton’s top landing sports.
Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets are one the most exciting teams in the league. Looking at the roster, it was evident that the Charlotte Hornets need a big man. Charlotte should pair LaMelo Ball with a competent center this off-season.
The trade pieces could also be interesting to the Phoenix Suns. Terry Rozier and PJ Washington are possible trade pieces.
This would be an ideal scenario for the Charlotte Hornets. Like a few other teams with young stars, Charlotte might not pair Ball with a champion-caliber roster, and he may become frustrated and want to be moved. Check out the top sports betting sites for betting on the NBA!
Detroit Pistons
According to rumors, the Phoenix Suns were interested in Jerami Grant at the deadline for trades. However, Detroit decided not to trade him. However, Grant may be traded. It will be interesting to see which route Detroit takes this summer.
A few of the Pistons’ young stars include Cade Cunningham and Saddiq Bey. Combining those two young stars with an Ayton-like center could be their best option.
This trade would put the Detroit Pistons on the right track to long-term success. Even though they might have a challenging year next year, the future for Detroit would be as bright as any team if they add Ayton.
Phoenix could also get back some exciting pieces in Jerami Grant.
