9) Ray Allen

If this was a list of just the best pure shooters in NBA history Allen may be number one out of everybody on this list. Allen for his career averaged 18.9 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 3.4 APG, 1.1 SPG, 0.2 BPG. Allen would also win 2 NBA Titles.

8) Joe Dumars

Dumars averaged over 16 PPG for his career, but he may be the best defensive player on this entire list. Dumars was the MVP of the 1989 NBA Finals Dumars as he averaged 27.3 PPG and 6.0 APG.

7) Clyde Drexler

Drexler was the face of the Trail Blazers franchise and led the Blazers to two NBA Finals, he would eventually win a championship with the Houston Rockets. Drexler was a versatile player who was solid on defense and also a very good playmaker.

6) George Gervin

Gervin was as smooth as it gets on a basketball court. His career stat line is impressive at 26.2 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 2.8 APG, 1.2 SPG, 0.8 BPG. On 4 different occasions, Gervin led the NBA in scoring. Gervin won 3 of those scoring titles in consecutive years.

5) Allen Iverson

Was labelled selfish, but how many times did great talent surrounding him in his career? Iverson led an average 76ers team to the Finals in 2001 and had an epic game one to help the Sixers pull the upset. Unfortunately, the Lakers were loaded and won the next 4 games. Iverson won the MVP in 2001, and his career stat line was ย 26.7 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 6.2 APG, 2.2 SPG, 0.2 BPG.

When you are used for the NBA logo you know you are an all-time great. West shot a career 81.4% from the free-throw line and 47.4% from the field while averaging 27.0 PPG. West was a pure scorer and sharp-shooter. The one glaring negative for West is a 1-9 record in NBA Finals.

Wade is the greatest player in the history of the Miami Heat and helped them win 3 NBA Titles. Maybe the greatest shot-maker in NBA history, Kobe was an 18-time all-star, won 5 NBA Championships, and was a big-time player in the clutch. Jordan won 6 NBA titles, 6 Finals MVPs, and ten scoring titles, and his career stat line is not too shabby, either 30.1 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 5.3 APG, 2.3 SPG, 0.8 BPG. At the start of his career, he was not a great shooter, but that all changed by the end of his career as he developed a nice long-range shot. Jordan was a complete player and one of the best defensive guards of all time also.
