Please scroll down for the most recent information on Keegan Murray’s NBA Draft projections and odds and why the Pistons will pick him with the fifth overall selection.

Keegan Murray is the most likely to land in Detroit.

The Pistons have the 5th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. They could use a go-to scorer to pair with Cade Cunningham or backcourt mate for Killian Hayes.

Keegan Murray is one of the top wing players in the draft. He has the size and shooting ability to make a difference for the Detroit Pistons on both ends of their floor.

He averaged 23.5 points per contest and had an effective field goal percentage (61.4 per cent) during his sophomore year. He averaged 8.7 rebounds per contest and shot 39.3 per cent from the 3-point range. This should make him an attractive commodity for the NBA Draft.

Murray is an excellent fit for the Pistons’ frontcourt. He also brings toughness to the defensive end. Murray’s second season at Iowa saw him average 1.3 steals per game and 1.9 blocks per match, suggesting he could be a plus defender at the NBA level. Murray could be the fifth overall pick, with the top three choices for the 2022 NBA Draft set in stone.

In the meantime, Purdue guard Jaden Ivey will be picked fourth by Sacramento or another team that moves up from the No. 4 pick. Murray would be the Pistons’ safest and most skilled player.

Take Keegan Murray to the Detroit Pistons as the 5th overall pick in the NBA Draft.
