Michigan vs Indiana Preview

Michigan has to win this game today as they sit at 17-13 after a tough overtime loss to Illinois earlier in the week. They are considered either a first four out or last four in team according to what you look at. The Wolverines are a talented team that has underachieved this season.

The Indiana Hoosiers were the best team in the Big Ten over the last half of big ten competition. Still, the Hoosiers have struggled over the last three games, getting blown out at Michigan State and losing badly to Iowa at home. The Hoosiers should be safely in the tournament but need this win to try to get the highest seed they can.

These teams played tight earlier in the season with the Hoosiers winning by a point, expect a tight hard fought contest.

Are the wolverines in a must-win situation?

Michigan battled Illinois to the finish but ended up losing in double overtime. This snapped their three-game winning streak. In a sign that parity is being achieved, the Wolverines fell to 17-13 overall. They are now part of a six-way tie at second place in the Big Ten with an 11-8 record. They then scored seven consecutive points to force the game into overtime. Michigan led by six with 1:49 left in the first overtime, but the Fighting Illini scored seven more unanswered points. Our Betting Pick for Today – Indiana -4.5

These six teams are part of a group trying to determine the seeding for next week’s Big Ten Tournament. The tournament’s seeding will be affected, and Michigan’s loss would likely be their final straw regarding March Madness. After a difficult season, the Wolverines are just 3-6 this season as the visiting team. Despite being beaten by Iowa earlier in the week, Indiana is still 14-2 at home. It will be worth paying admission for the Jackson-Davis vs Dickinson matchup. Indiana wins Senior Day with a hard-fought victory thanks to the magic of Assembly Hall and the continuity and experience factors.
