The Wichita State Shockers (11-7, 5-11-1 against the spread, 7-9-1 over/under) are set to face the Memphis Tigers (14-4, 9-9 against the spread, 9-9 over/under) in an AAC matchup on Wednesday evening. The Shockers suffered a home defeat against East Carolina last weekend, while the Tigers secured a road victory against Charlotte. Last season, Memphis had the upper hand, finishing 2-1 against Wichita State.

Xavier Musketeers vs St. Johns Red Storm

• Point Spread: Memphis -13.5
• Moneyline Wichita State +640
• Moneyline Memphis -1000
• Over/Under 156.5

The Wichita State Shockers are experiencing an inconsistent season and are struggling in conference play, having lost four of their last five games. They have failed to cover the spread in the American Athletic Conference (AAC) for six consecutive games. In contrast, the Memphis Tigers have won five of their last six games. The Shockers’ defense is a significant weakness likely to be exploited in this matchup. They are allowing 106.5 points per 100 possessions, while the Tigers are conceding only 97.7 points per 100 possessions. Memphis has been impressive with their three-point shooting, boasting a 39% success rate from beyond the arc. This is especially concerning for Wichita State, which ranks 258th in three-point defense. Additionally, four of the Shockers’ last six losses have been by double digits.

Wichita State vs Memphis Over/Under Analysis

I expect a high-energy game tonight, and a line of 156.5. I think Vegas nailed the correct number to keep me from playing this. If I had a gun to my head I would lean towards betting the under.

Memphis is the more-talented and more consistent team, I look for them to get up by double-digits in the first half and cruise home with a comfortable win.

Bet Memphis -13.5
