Providence vs Xavier Preview
No. 17 Providence will be looking to extend its three-game winning streak with a win against Xavier. On Wednesday night, 16 Xavier will take on 17 Providence. The Friars lost their first two conference games in January. However, they responded by winning over Butler, DePaul and Villanova. Xavier,  had won 13 of its 14 previous games before Saturday’s 84-67 defeat at Creighton.
Providence started slow, going just 5-3 in its first eight games. The Friars responded by winning nine consecutive games, including victories over then-No. 24 Marquette and the then-No. 4 UConn. They won six of their first six Big East matches before falling to Creighton in the middle of January. After those setbacks, Providence bounced back with consecutive wins over Butler, DePaul and Villanova.
They are a top offensive team, ranked 19th in the country for adjusted efficiency. They are the eighth-best offensive-rebounding offense in the country. This is their strength despite having the No. 262 in average height. It faces a Xavier defense, which is No. 24Â in height. Providence’s sophomore guard Bryce Hopkins is the leader with 16.4 points per game and 9.1 rebounds. Devin Carter (13.5), Ed Croswell (12.5), and Noah Locke (10.3) all score in double figures.

Xavier Musketeers Betting Tips
Xavier faced one of the most difficult non-conference schedules in college basketball. Its first three losses were against top-15 teams.
