In Game 1, the Thunder’s offense was firing on all cylinders, shooting 56% from the field and 54% from beyond the arc. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 37 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists. Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams added 19 and 18 points, respectively.
The Timberwolves had a strong second quarter, outscoring the Thunder 40-26, but couldn’t maintain the momentum. Anthony Edwards posted 29 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists, while Naz Reid contributed 22 points off the bench. However, Minnesota’s defense struggled, allowing Oklahoma City to score 42 points in the third quarter alone.
