The Sacramento Kings forced Game 7 against Golden State Warriors by pulling off something only a select few teams had been able to do before: beat Dub Nation at Chase Center. Not since 2016 has any team facing elimination survived at Dub Nation’s home arena – something Fox and crew did with an easy 118-99 victory on Friday at Chase Center. Game 7 at Golden One Center should provide plenty of excitement, with its winner moving on to face the Lakers — another team from California!
Mike Brown’s squad displayed a great mentality. While many fans and analysts dismissed them, they responded impressively. Malik Monk led all scorers with 28 points – leading his team in scoring while also contributing seven rebounds for an astounding +/-21 differential!
De’Aaron Fox was unfazed by his broken finger, posting 26 points and 11 assists for the Sacramento Kings’. Fox is unquestionably among the best guards in the league right now and possesses generational talent, no matter what people may say.
Game 6 belonged to Sabonis and Murray, with Sabonis recording only seven points but nine of his 11 boards being offensive ones! Keegan Murray scored 15 points and 12 boards during this contest and deserves recognition.
Game 6 saw the Warriors come unstuck, suffering one of the worst performances from all their stars ever when playing together in one playoff game. They shot only 37.2% from the field and were outrebounded 42-53.
However, while the Kings shot slightly under 40% in this event, the Warriors couldn’t take advantage of this stat or remain competitive. Steph Curry scored 29 points on 9-for-21 shooting from the field; Klay Thompson contributed 22 while shooting 7-for-21 three-pointers.
Jordan Pool had only seven points from 2-for-11 field shooting and contributed only seven points overall – one reason the Warriors lost. Andrew Wiggins scored 13 baskets while only collecting seven boards for an impressive total of 21 points scored from their bench players.
I am taking the Kings at home in this game and recommend taking them on the money line instead of taking the point.
